Own several speakers and headsets as I am " all about the sound". While I I love my WF 1000XM3s , nothing compares to the practicality of this headset. For those that don't care as much about the looks ( the band is visible) , want a full, rich sound quality in all range, with impressive bass , this is a very impressive headset. I know earbuds are in fashion now, but I find this band more comfortable to use and better in calls as well. Also a significant improvement from the previous model as it has become more lighter and flexible. Rests nicely on your neck. Connectivity is super easy and battery life is as it should. Used them for the last 5 hours without a need to charge yet.

Well made. Sound quality is excellent. Noise cancellation is excellent at reasonable volume. Slightly dissappointed with battery life - but still four stars!

The worst Sony brand earphones I've ever owned. If you wondered why hardly anyone has these, now you know. 1. Noise cancellation barely any help. Still hear everything loudly and sharply. 2. Battery life is sub par, charging isn't fast and occasionally it says low battery when you just spent 4 hours charging it. 3. Randomly disconnects from Bluetooth and sometimes doesn't reconnect. The app is adequate but not needed at all 4. 360 sound? don't bother. 5. Lack of depth but it is a clear overall sound. 6. Incredibly overpriced It's only worth £100 max. 7. When it says 10% battery life, you have just 5 minutes before it dies..

Sorry to be the one to break the maximum stars pattern but I was expecting a touch more than what I got. Perhaps it is because I have been spoilt by Bose? I also have a set of Bose QC 20 in-ear wired noise cancelling. After reading all the blurb on this set, I thought they’d blow away the Bose. However, for noise cancelling I think the Bose QC20’s have the edge. I have tried both one after the other in a number of environments such as walking, road noise, office noise, TV, etc. In all cases the Bose were slightly better at noise cancelling. It wasn’t a night and day difference, but there was a difference. As for sound quality, I do prefer the Sony. The Sony has a better deep base and all around clearer range of frequencies. Once again, not much in it, but the Sony wins. Wired vs Bluetooth? Definitely the Sony BT for nothing more than portability and he ability to connect to my iPhone that has no headphone socket (although I use my iPod mainly for music). I was a bit disappointed to discover that I cannot use the much boasted 360 experience sound without subscribing to one of the 3 music streaming services they support. Unfortunately, Spotify is not one of them which is what I use (premium user). With regard to the earbuds, Bose vs Sony? Bose wins. The QC20’s have fins that hold them in very securely. So far with the Sony’s I have found myself constantly pushing them back in, despite using the biggest silicones. Battery life? To early to tell. Companion app? I do like this. It works well but does take some getting used to as it’s not very clear in places. I also couldn’t get the Alaexa feature to work, but only tried briefly as I doubt I’d really use it. Would I buy them if I’d tried them before buying? No, I don’t think so. Not for the price I paid anyway. I personally don’t feel the price tag justifies the difference between them and the Bose QC 20’s. After paying 300 and experiencing them, I think my absolute max spend would’ve been no more than 200. That said, if my choice was between these and Bose for the same price each, I would choose the Sony purely because of the usefulness of being Bluetooth. Hope this helps others.

These are so-so. Two reasons: 1. Reconnection to Bluetooth. Cumbersome. You have to go back into the app and press connect and wait around ten seconds. Just could be slicker and automatically re-connect. 2. Microphone. Isn’t that great. A few people mention it. I also notice the same when my boyfriend rings me as we have the same models. At least the app works unlike the Bose. (Apple phone) I have gone through x6 sets of buds/neck buds in 3 months trying to find the perfect pair. The B&W P14 is so much better and perfect in every way of only they could sort the microphone! The neck piece on the Sony’s isn’t entirely comfortable and not great if you do a lot of bar work / cross fit due to the length of the rigid piece, I get conscious of nearly hitting the end pieces quite a lot. Also moves around a lot with burpees etc.

I had the first version of these headphones and the second version is a big improvement in: 1) Battery life - much improved 2) Usability - controls for volume up/down and track skipping are so much easier to locate and use 3) Ergonomics - the new neckband is much more comfortable and flexible compared to the hard rigid plastic of the first version. My use is slightly odd. I suffer sometimes with insomnia. When I can't sleep I connect these to my Sony A55 walkman, put on some relaxing music and lie back. Often within half an hour I'm back asleep. The headphones are quite comfortable while sleeping but only if lying on your back.

Great sound quality for the format, very good appearance and excellent build quality. The only disadvantage is a battery life. 5-6 hours of music without noise cancellation and 3-4 hours with it: I expected to find these values at least 2 times longer than they are, especially taking into account the form factor and the headphones' price

After having a pair of bose QC30 headphones and needing a new pair. I choose the sony WI-1000XM2, well i wish i had not. First the head phones are not the most comfortable to wear,(as my wife snores for England)in bed and the noise cancellation,well i had to turn them up full to drown her out. The battery life is ok i think only once did i get the full 10 hrs. and the sound is ok. In truth i wish i never brought them, but you learn from your mistakes.

Une grosse amélioration par rapport au modèle précédent que je possédais déjà. Un grand confort, un son incroyable le noise cancelling est impressionnant et (enfin) un micro digne de ce nom pour les appels téléphoniques. Un produit (tres) cher mais la qualité est là. En point d'amélioration je citerai un réducteur de bruit pour le micro (en environnements bruyants les interlocuteurs se plaignent) et augmenter l'autonomie (il tient une journée) mais je chipote. Un produit excellent.

Ich habe mehr als 10 Jahre lang Ultimate Ears Triple.fi 10 in Kombination mit Otoplastiken genutzt. Da man aber kaum noch Ersatzkabel in einer halbwegs vernünftigen Qualität und humanen Preisen bekommen kann, hab ich mir gedacht, dass es langsam Zeit wird sich mal nach etwas neuem umzuschauen. Da für mich persönlich Overears nicht in Frage kommen, habe ich mich bei den InEars umgeschaut und von den Rezensionen her haben mich die Sony WF-1000XM3 ziemlich angesprochen. Aber leider hatte, zumindest mein Exemplar, nur eine Akkulaufzeit auf dem linken Ohr von 2 - 2,5 Std von angeblich mind. 6 Std. und der rechte lief ca. 1 Std. länger. Da mich die unterschiedliche Laufzeit ziemlich wuschig gemacht hatte, habe ich diese ein Wochenende lang intensiv getestet. Im ersten Moment klangen diese relativ ok, nicht schlecht aber auch nicht wirklich gut, aber als ich nach dem Wochenende meine UEs wieder genutzt habe, stellte ich fest, dass die WF-1000XM3 im Vergleich im Bass und im Mittenbereich ausreichend bis gut waren aber dafür im Oberton bzw. Höhenbereich sehr zu wünschen liesen. Es war regelrecht eine Erholung wieder die Tripple.fi im Ohr zu haben. Im Vergleich klingen diese Sony als hätte man im Hochtonbereich eine Socke im Ohr. Durch diese Erfahrung sensibilisiert, habe ich die Sony WI-1000XM2 dann im direkten Vergleich getestet, glücklicherweise unterstützt mein Smartphone den Multipointbetrieb. Daher im rechten bzw. linken Ohr die Sony und im anderen Ohr die UEs und ich muss sagen sie klingen ziemlich ähnlich, lediglich der Bass ist bei den Sony etwas ausgeprägter. In den Mitten und den Höhen nehmen sie sich fast garnichts, dank des Dualdrivers. Meiner Meinung nach ein sehr gutes Zeugnis für Sony, denn die UEs gelten immer noch mit zur Spitzenklasse. Die Bühne ist bei den Sonys etwas breiter und ausgeprägter, man hat nicht mehr das Gefühl dass sich die Bühne nur zwischen den Ohren befindet sondern sie geht darüber hinaus. Positionen im Raum lassen sich so auch gut orten. Zum NC, ohne NC ist die Dämpfung der Sony nur normaler Durchschnitt, die Otoplastiken dämpfen im Vergleich die Umgebungsgeräusche um einiges besser ab, aber mit aktiviertem NC, da dreht sich die Welt. Denn mit aktiviertem NC muss ich die Hörer aus dem Ohr nehmen um zum Beispiel Durchsagen der Bahn verstehn zu können (max NC), mit den UEs hab ich diese zwar leise, aber trotzdem mitbekommen. Mit den Sonys keine Chance, da herrscht im Vergleich Stille bzw. pure Musik, so habe einmal ganz verwundert die Bahn verlassen müssen weil alle anderen Passagiere den Zug verlassen hatten - ich hatte von der Durchsage nichts mitbekommen. Umgebungsgeräusche dämpft es ziemlich gut, nur bei (Klein) Kindergeschrei versagen sie etwas. Gespräche in normaler Lautstärke oder entsprechend weit entfernt werden bei laufender Musik fast vollständig ausgeblendet. Als griffigen Vergleich würde ich eine Lärmschutzwand an der Autobahn nehmen, den normalen Verkehrslärm dämpft sie sehr gut, aber gegen Martinshörner hat diese kaum eine Chance. Den normalen Autoverkehr als Fußgänger blenden die Sony ziemlich gut aus, es fühlt sich so an, als würde man mit Oropax, allerdings nur den Wachsoropax, am Verkehr teilnehmen (ohne laufende Musik). Mit Musik hört man fast garnichts. Mit meinen UEs nutze ich normalerweise Lautstärke 7-8 um die Umwelt ausblenden zu können, mit den Sonys erreiche ich bei Lautstärke 3-4 von 15 das gleiche Ergebnis. Zur Akkulaufzeit kann ich nur sagen, dass diese im Gegensatz zu den InEars für mich ausreichend ist, denn nach mehr als 5 Std. Hördauer mit aktiven NC lag die Akkukapazität noch bei 60% und auch die Telefoniequailtät ist scheinbar mehr als ok, denn im Gegensatz zu den WF-1000XM3 wurde ich nie gefragt wo ich mich befinde. Allerdings muss ich auch eine Warnung für die Menschen aussprechen, die noch nie Musik in der Qualität wie von den UEs oder diesen Sonys (genießen) erfahren haben, denn wenn ein Mensch einmal mit solchen hochwertigen und relativ neutralen Hörern Erfahrungen sammeln konnte, für den klingt fast jede (normale) Anlage einfach nur noch bescheiden bis grausam. Mir hatte die Erfahrung mit den UEs damals mehrere tausend Euros an Folgekosten beschert, da ich in Folge meine kompletten Anlagen (zu Hause und im Auto) austauschen musste. Daher mein Fazit: wer echten Msuikgenuss mit einer leichten Bassüberhöhung und einem ziemlich guten NC genießen möchte liegt bei den Sonys genau richtig, für die Pfennigfuchser, lasst besser die Finger von ... ihr werdet sonst an den Folgekosten untergehen ... Für mich eine Kaufempfehlung, insbesondere da der Akku von Sony tauschbar ist und so der Hörer auch für lange Zeit nutzbar sein sollte, ich werde mir noch ein paar Otoplastiken für die Sony anfertigen lassen und dann sollte diese Kombination auch Overears kaum noch nachstehen. Edit: Nach mehr als einem Monat Nutzungsdauer kann ich nur sagen, guter Kauf. Inzwischen kann ich auch mehr zur Akkulaufzeit sagen, im Standby über 8 Std. (als Headset) mit insgesamt durchschnittlich 1 Std. Telefoniedauer ohne aktives NC, muss man aber leider bewust ausschalten, lag der Akkuverbrauch bei ca. 20% - mit aktivem NC leider bei knapp 60-80%. Daher mein Fazit auch als Telefonieheadset ganz gut zu gebrauchen, allerdings sollte man dabei nicht vergessen das NC auszuschalten. Um rein Musik zu hören sind die Werksangaben eher unter- als übertrieben.

Sono molto soddisfatto delle caratteristiche audio di queste cuffie: suono limpido, pulito, ben definito, voci facilmente comprensibili, bassi profondi e acuti cristallini. Connessione bluetooth LDAC stabile; non ho ancora potuto verificare completamente l'efficacia della funzione di riduzione del rumore. E' presente un errore di traduzione in lingua italiana degli avvisi, in quanto quando si connette una voce femminile dice "sconnesso". Costo elevato, l'ho acquistata in quanto in promozione durante il black friday.
