I was looking for something beginner friendly and this one was great. It came with needles and all the thread I needed with extra left over. I definitely recommend this one and Iā€™m gonna buy the other flowers they have! ### ā­ā­ā­ Don't expect high quality *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 7, 2020* I am getting back into embroidery again after a while. I bought this kit to re-learn the stitches and have a cute little piece that I could frame as my workroom is decorated in cherry blossoms. I would give a 3 for the cute pattern and the fabric is fairly decent, though the needles that come with the kit do leave noticeable holes sometimes and it tends to shed a bit with off-white fuzzies. I've worked with floss and thread for 40 years working in cross stitch, embroidery, and costume embellishments and this thread is horrible to work with. *Horrible.* It balls up and breaks when pulling it through the fabric, it tangles easy when pulling from the skein, and is not very cooperative about being split into strands of two. After pulling it through the fabric enough times it begins to fray and get fuzzy. This is NOT DMC thread, which thankfully they don't claim it to be. This pattern is cute enough that had I known I would have considered purchasing it and replacing the thread with comparable DMC since at least the pattern is already printed with the design, which saved time getting started. It does allow for some good practice other than the thread and the hoop has been fine....heavy plastic.
