I really couldn't be more pleased with this harness. Works for us.
This is one very well built Harness by IceFang. I have a newer Dobie mix who has the huge chest and small waist. These harnesses I would think could be adjusted to fit any size and shape of dog. By adjusting the straps, it fits my boy perfectly. He's a teenager still growing and I see that will be no problem. I purchased the harness with metal buckles and have had absolutely no trouble with it coming loose. That's a major concern for a big strong pulling dog like mine. Just to make sure, after it was all buckled I wove the excess back into each buckle. Easily done with needle nose pliers or tweezers just for extra measure.I bought this in Oct of 2019 and have not experienced any problems with it since. I walk my dog a minimum of a couple miles almost everyday. I use the front hoop-up because he was a strong puller. This had helped, but not cured the problem which is more due to him. He's really intense/nervous/stressed on walks. I have no idea what happened to him prior to me getting him or what he's been through. I recently learned in the last week that he is not aggressive, but is reactive. He's now on a very low dose of anti-anxiety medication and he is a calmer dog where silly little things don't bother him so much. Walks are now much less stressful for him. He still pulls a little bit sometimes, but now that he's more comfortable with his surroundings, he obeys better and realizes that pulling makes him go sideways a bit which takes away from his walk, so he quits that quickly.I feel this harness was well worth the money because it doesn't slide around (he couldn't get out of this if he tried - it needs to fit snug, but not tight), wear out or quit working/break like some of the cheaper ones. It's super durable and will last for years I'm sure. It's got great protective pads under each buckle which I love, so there's no rubbing on his fur, and if the metal buckles are cold (he has very, very short hair) they won't even touch him because of those great pads that cover the buckles which don't even touch him. Also, I get a lot of compliments on my dog and how great he looks in this harness and I have to admit he does look very regal.**One note if you bought a vest with the metal buckles: When you're undoing them, don't let them just fall down to it's sides as they could hit your dogs legs. They're hard and heavy and it hurts. I now unbuckle, but then hold onto them till they're lowered at his side(s).

Updated @ 1 year of heavy use - Outstanding investment
Update: After a year of regular wear, this dog vest has held up beautifully! As you can see, Loki wears it everywhere, and has grown to be about 100# at 1.5 years old now, and he is still gaining muscle mass and girth as he matures. Fitting the vest as he grows is as simple as sliding the webbing out and re-securing. It takes a minute to resize and he is comfortable again. The only issues I've seen in the vest is the velcro is starting to deteriorate somewhat. I just need to trim frayed edges now and then, but its not sturctural. The metal clasps have seen some paint chipping off, but still hold securely and open/close reliably every time. The fabric has endured weather extremes, a few thousand burdocks (those were a big headache to pluck off), wet/dry conditions and so on. He has ran in the vest, jumped, played, swam, rolled, and even slept. Sometimes he sleeps on his back with his legs in the air, IN the vest, so I know he is plenty comfortable in it.I never allow him to wear it for more than 8 hours, and ONLY under supervision, but the only concerns I have there is that occassionally, if he has been wearing it a lot while being very active, his armpits rub a little. Its only resulted in minor fur breakage, but I keep an eye on it to ensure he doesn't develop a rash and loosed the vest a bit more?As you can see, I often clip a 1' training tab to the metal triangle clip on his shoulderblades. I LOVE that feature, especially with the handle right there too. It allows me to keep him close at all times, to brace against him easily, and to keep him safer by controlling his body when necessary. Thankfully he is tall enough I can use this vest without a solid brace for my basic needs.I also made a couple of MOLLE pouches (you can see the purple in the pic with his back turned) that work perfectly for the PALS panel on the vest. The secure easily and now he can carry a bit more for me with the weight centered on his strong shoulders and no pressure on his hips. The vest is not perfect probably, certainly not military grade, as one reviewer mentioned, I don't know that I would trust it to drop of a helicopter or anything, but for our simple lifestyle of city streets and occasional outdoor adventures, this vest has outperformed my expectations.~~~~~~~~Original review below:Nice product.Bought it for my 4-5 month old German shepherd/Malamute puppy in training to be my service animal. I like it because the design seems sturdier than most service dog vest designs and I need him to help stabilize me, as well as help carry items for me. Thats where the MOLLE attachments will be very useful when he reaches maturity and weight he will be able to handle safely.I honestly don't like to put a lot of weight on my dog's hips, so I got the short vest. That and in my experience, working dogs tend to be more comfortable with less belly straps going too far back on their stomachs. It seems to be easier for them to move and get comfortable when I ask them to settle for long periods. Maybe just my own preference though. My pup is 55# at very nearly 5 months and this vest just fits him now at the tightest setting. I bought large so he could grow into it. Luckily the belly strap (which may be my favorite aspect of this vest) fit very well between his forelegs and will not rub at all, though he has the deeper chest of a Mal, compared to a Shepherd.I also prefer the metal clasps, even for the extra $10-12 as they are easier than plastic quick releases for my fingers. They also seem sturdier (only time will tell). They seem to add significant weight to the vest though, so I would be wary of putting ANY extra items on the vest until your dog is acclimated and their joints have matured. Maybe I have just dealt with too much hip dysplasia and am getting hyper-cautious.Finally, note that this vest did slip off him with the leash clipped on the top, when he balked at something - with astonishing speed, he was free. I can't cinch it perfectly yet so a bit more size on the dog might fix that. For now I will be safety clipping the leash to his collar as well.If anything comes up with durability as we use this, I will edit this review. For now, everything seems to be of high quality. Thanks!
