I started with a different brand and switched to this brand due to price per dose. Both products are and were outstanding. I heard about turmeric and decided to read some peer reviewed studies (real science) on a government website. Seemed too good to be true, but with the solid science reported, is sure seemed worth the try. I ordered and received my supply quickly (Amazon Prime) - and took three capsules following food, and with about 8 oz. of water. I was feeling GREAT within 30 minutes and thought "this must be placebo effect!" I went back to do more reading - for about 2 hours. The data supported what I was feeling. I can now go up and down stairs without taking steps one at a time. I have been taking steps one at a time with a handrail for over a year now—but in a short time on Turmeric I can walk up and down steps normally. I can get up from bed without having to wait to make sure my feet and legs will support me - for the first time in over a year. I pop out of bed with no trouble and almost no pain. I had a general "unwell" feeling in my body (truck area) and in my legs that disappeared the first day and has not been back. I feel generally better than I have in YEARS in terms of overall health and energy. My gout and arthritis issues seem greatly reduced overall. (Still finding this hard to believe - and its been a few weeks). I have no doctor's diagnosis to back this next point up but, getting close to 60 I have had symptoms of an enlarged prostrate. It's been that way for at least 4 or 5 years now. After about 3 to 4 weeks on Turmeric (I am now taking about 4.5 grams per day) those symptoms are GONE! I honestly feel better than I have in years. I know that I am just one person and not a double-blind study, but if you are as skeptical as I was feel free to search the National Institutes of Health website, or PubMed (some areas require a subscription), or just order some and see for yourself. The studies I read seem to indicate doses higher than the recommended dose on the bottle (as high as 12 grams a day) without adverse effect. Still, take it with plenty of water and with food; I found that it can upset my stomach if I am not careful to do so. I've told a neighbor about this - and just bought a bottle for a man in my church (I'll await reports back from them). These are large capsules and some folks may have a hard time with the size, but they work for me and I intend on continuing with this brand and dose level unless I see something that looks the same for a bit less. Right now, the price vs benefit make this a clear choice for me to continue using the product. For the scientist out there (like me) who wants to see the way this supplement works, I definitely recommend reading in the NIH website. In a nutshell it seems to promote normal function of cellular communication (proteins released, etc.) on a broad range. For example apoptotic functions are increased which is likely to reduce possible incidence of some cancers, etc. The more I read some of these studies the more convinced I become that I found something that is more beneficial than I thought possible on multiple levels. Thoroughly impressed. EDIT: I'm adding a bit more info... I am not sure of cause-effect relationship here - but my high blood pressure is now normal (117/80 last check) instead of the 150s/90's it has been. Nothing else I tried worked (Doc was ready to put me on meds). I bought this for several folks - and told others: bottom line is for those with arthritis (including gouty arthritis) it did wonders. For one who had sciatica (who would not do anything else about it) and another with Lymes Disease it did nothing to help them. Everyone else (arthritis issues primarily) it helped tremendously.

Little slow but as described helps with joint pain and inflammation definitely effective health choice.

I’ve been using this brand for several years. I am pleased with its anti-inflammatory properties, and I appreciate that it is more easily absorbed. It seems to have helped with my joint pains. I have not noticed any stomach upset or any side issues since I’ve been using it.
