Developmental Psychology: Childhood and Adolescence

Gives a depth of information about developmental psychology which I have found lacking in other books. I used it when studying the changes which have taken place around child development and found it incredibly useful when loooking at how development was viewed in the past and how it impacts on matters relating to children's development today. I am not an avid textbook reader. Actually, I never open my books. However, I love this textbook. It is fascinating and well-written, consisting of an odd "flow" which makes it a pleasure to read. The kindle format is wonderful, though the tables do not show up on my Kindle and require Kindle for PC.As textbooks go, this is my favorite. It is not boring, like so many of them, and yet is written in an easy-to-understand language. Buy it - you won't regret it.

First of all, I got this as a rental for Kindle because the price was significantly cheaper. Overall I haven't noticed any major editing problems besides a few dashes splitting words that were obviously supposed to span two different lines. Not a big deal. The pictures are fine, but the charts are barely readable... and by barely readable I mean you have to really squint to sort of see what they say. For the price though, I'd recommend the Kindle version over the hardcover.I have the physical copy of the previous edition of this book and the contents are basically the same.. you could probably get by using that edition as it's much cheaper.

My son needed this book for a college class & it was much less expensive than purchasing from the school bookstore

Had to get this for my developmental psychology class.It went over a lot of developmental issues.Had many words defined throughout the book.I bought it new, so the book was in nice condition.

Really helped with my developmental psych class.
