Will this fit the Weber 22.5" grill?

This product will not work on a 22-1/2. Find the year of your grill. If it is the old style, bracket style that holds the ring in place, you will have to modify.I don't see them available on amazon currently. Here http://www.ereplacementparts.com/ash-catcher-assembly-p-1477085.html

Will this fit a weber jumbo joe 18.5 in grill?

You can do it, but you would have to do a lot of work. Easier to buy a kettle with an ash catcher and shorten the legs. See urlhttp://weberkettleclub.com/blog/2015/04/10/mini-weber-mod-midget-otg//url

can this be added to an 18 inch kettle that didn't come with one?

Yes. It works with 18” kettles.

There is conflicting info on this page. Does this ring fit the 18.5 or the 22.5 or both?

This will not fit the 22.5" Weber. I mistakenly ordered it, easy return and reorder of the correct one for my 22.5" Weber.
