Massive Attack vs Mad Professor Part II (Mezzanine Remix Tapes ’98) [VINYL]

Really four or five stars for the music but one star for the pressing. Side one, track three, has a terrible amount of “non-fill”. This is where the molten vinyl cooled too quickly before it squeezed into all the nooks and crannies of the press. It sounds like paper ripping and it looks like shinny beads on the surface of the vinyl. I’ve ordered a replacement. Hope it’s a one off. Have ordered a replacement.

My copy of the vinyl was absolutely fine. That's the lottery of buying music in this format. Also not sure if it's mentioned anywhere else, but copies include a coupon to download a decent 16bit WAV download of not just this, but also the original Mezzanine album.

Very poor sound quality on this pressing. Bass is absent, with no dynamics. I'm using a Technics 1200gr TT, and an AT440mlb Cartridge. Don't waste your time.

Excellent album, excellent remixes of already excellent tunes

Purchased as a gift. The recipients absolutely loved it and thought sleeve design and colour of the vinyl were fantastic.
