I was looking for a bag in which to carry my 12 inch tablet. I already knew this bag wasn't padded, so I keep my tablet in a padded sleeve inside the bag.The bag is the perfect size for my taste.- Not so big that it looks like I'm carrying luggage.- Not so small that it looks like I'm carrying a purse.I wanted this bag over the other Israeli paratrooper bags because I personally don't care for the paratrooper logo on the front flap. Honestly, I would have preferred the bag in black with no paratrooper logo, but I didn't find one on my search and the camouflage bag was available as an add-on item.**On the topic of color, this bag is NOT olive green. I completely thought it was, but maybe my monitor color settings are off. The bag is actually medium/dark gray, light gray, black and tan. This is probably considered desert camouflage, though I'm no expert on camouflage.The material feels very strong. Feels similar to my quality Levi cargo pants, only a little rougher and tougher. I can't speak for longevity as I've only owned this bag about a week, but I have no doubt that the bag will last a very long time.Button snaps and all hooks are very sturdy. Stitching looks good to my untrained eyes. Bullet loops make great holders for the N-Trig pens or just about any other pens or pencils. The pocket behind the bullet loops is plenty big enough for a portable HDD, a full size mouse and a usb hub. There are 2 dividers which divide the main part of the bag into 3 sections. The tablet with sleeve fit fine with 2 open sections for books, magazines, notebooks, binders or whatever other stuff you might need to toss in.Not much else left to say so, I've enclosed a few pictures including a color comparison with olive green camo pants.

Shoulder strap holder on side tore after a few days use. Not optimal and is no longer a shoulder bag.

What did I do with the bag for 14 years? Better would be the question...what didn't I do with it. It's been a book bag, school bag for the kids, held day hike gear, a fishing bag and make-shift creel, shopping trip survival supplies as a parent and spouse, and a gear bag in the jeep. It's still serviceable today...and holds my air compressor and a few tools.The olive green is now faded in all sorts of ways from the sun, water, and time to varying degrees of odd-looking yellow...but it's still fine. The grease stains came from the tools/jeep gear after the bag got too "ugly" for my wife to allow it to carried in public (around her, anyway) But yes...it's still serviceable!I bought the new one to be mostly a fishing sling bag...cheaper than the other models and can also hold lunch, a net, and other stuff...and who knows what other adventures I'll find for it.Oh yeah...the canvas is a great pillow in an airport when stuffed with a jacket or some extra clothes.

Just what you would expect for paratrooper gear. Plenty of interior pockets, holds a lot.

A little larger than expected- great heavy duty bag- using as a tackle / creel bag. Couldn't have made it any better
