Good stiff, light hiker
I have always worn heavy hiking boots with steel shanks. They provided great support and protection for the hikes I used to do. However, I don't do those hikes anymore and needed something that was lighter but would still provide good support for my feet. I saw the description and reviews for these Oboz Bridger Low boots and took a chance. The first impression was that these things are stiff. I mean, really stiff. They felt more like road cycling shoes than hikers and I hoped they'd loosen up a little. After the first day the foot insole molded to my feet and they loosened up a little. After about 10 or 15 miles of use, they're still a little stiff but not so much that you can't use them as daily shoes. I've used them in the office and on dirt and road walks and they're working fine. The cleats/outsoles are pretty rugged and, in my opinion, relegate them more to trails and hikes versus daily wearing on concrete. If you're looking for something to wear around the office or wear on hard surfaces, there are probably better choices. With that said, I am using them daily. The toe box width is good and gives me lots of room to move. I can't attest to their waterproof ability. They're low hikers so regardless, if you're out on the trail, water will likely seep in from the ankles. That's not a knock on these Oboz but is just a reality to the type of boot it is. I wear an 11 and these fit fine but there's not a lot of extra room. I won't wear thick socks with these...they're summer hikers. Wearing mid-weight hiking socks was ok. Again, the 11s fit almost perfectly but don't leave a lot of extra room for thick socks. Regular crew socks just about fill these out without getting tight. The heels fit fine and don't slip. I have high arches and these feel fine. I have little foot fatigue when worn on long walks/hikes of 6 or 7 miles (so far) whereas other shoes will leave my feet tired. I got the Dark Shadow and my wife says they look good so they get style points. They're not cheap but, if they hold up, they are a really good option for the person looking for a stiff, light hiker.

Great shoes
This is the second pair of these shoes my husband has purchased. He finds them a great comfortable all around shoes. Whether he is hiking, or just going for a daily walk, these are his go to shoes. True to size..Well worth the bucks...

These are the best shoes I have ever owned
I've always been tough on shoes, and have purchased other premium brands in the past. After three or four months they usually start to split at the seams on the sides. Even expensive shoes. I've spent $140, $160, and $200 on shoes before and they still wouldn't last all that long. Also I needed waterproof shoes since I walk my dog 800 miles a year in a rainy climate where it rains all the time. Even the most expensive shoes I've purchased previously would start losing their waterproofing abilities before six months. My current pair of Oboz shoes are going on over a year and a half now, with no side seam splitting and they still keep my feet dry. But nothing lasts forever, they are looking pretty tattered and dirty and they stay wet on the outside, but not on the inside, if that makes sense. I'll clean them and spray them again and keep wearing wearing them every day like I have been at my construction job. But I just now ordered a brand new pair! They'll be my going out on the town shoes. Yes, I should mention that these look great as well. So for durability, waterproofing, comfort and reasonable break it time (the soles will feel a little hard at first and need to break in) I highly recommend these Oboz shoes. I think these will by my fourth pair, so I finally think that I owe them a good review.

Very nice boot. Wish they had more WIDE sizes!! size 12
I've worn nothing but Keens for a long time, but decided to give these a shot. Unfortunately, won't be keeping them because I need a wide and they don't carry any in the style I like. I would say they fit pretty true to size, but I just need a slightly bigger toe box(the reason I've worn Keens so long) -These are definitely a quality made boot. from the lugs, leather, sole attachment, inside fabric, and insole.. 100% built to last - They HUG your feet! Even though these are a bit narrow for me, you can still tell they are made to comfortably cradle your foot. anybody saying they run way to narrow probably just isn't used to a boot gripping your heel so perfectly. and it's not just padding, they are formed this way. You could probably buy a size too big and they'd still probably hold your heel great. -very nice looking boot. Always hated the look of Merrel Moabs and other similar boots. these are a pretty nice looking boot. you can tell they are definitely worth the money. they will be replacing my standard Targhee if I can find a wide in the color I like.

The Best
These are hands-down, the most comfortable hiking shoe I have ever worn. They truly are waterproof, and the toe box is spacious and comfortable. I don’t say these things lightly and this is my second pair, haven’t even halfway worn down the first pair, but I wanted to buy another pair before the style and size is unavailable.

A little timid buying a new hiking shoe online but ...
So far so good, everything fits as expected, they are comfortable, very stylish, a bit warm for my tastes but not uncomfortably so (waterproofing?), and the break in period has been easy to non-existent. I have yet to take them out on their first hike, but I anticipate that they will perform well from my day to day experience. They did seem a bit slippery on wet surfaces, but I didn't fall on my ass like others have noted, still be careful until they get broken in a bit. I bet a wet rock with a rounded surface could be a big issue if you're not careful. Edit: Took them out for an 18 mile hike after a week of breaking them in, sorry to say that there were many hot spots when running and two pairs of socks plus duct tape on my heels were not enough to save me. I am very hard on my feet and did get a full refund, so while I'm disappointed the shoes didn't work out for me I am happy with the buying experience. YMMV

Provide great support, all around great product!
I love these shoes. I walk between 3-8 miles each day for work in all environments and conditions, year round. These are the most solid hiking shoe I've used in 15years. I'm on pair number 3 and looking at getting yet another pair. When Oboze says waterproof, they mean waterproof not like the other shoes out there. They also provide total support and comfort for the whole day. I recommend these because they've proven themselves to me 5 days a week for three years! Love them! I also have the 6inch Bridger and the 10inch insulated Bridger as well. No kidding these are the real deal ✌️

Great light weight boots
I’ve been wearing Oboz boots for about 4 years now and find them perfect for my active urban lifestyle. I regularly walk more than 10000 steps daily in both commuting to work and urban hiking. These boots give great support and traction and are great winter boots. I get about 1 year per pair and these are living up to my expectations.

Excellent well made shoe
These are tough well made, wide-fit shoes, with a great hard-wearing sole. I use them for day-to-day dog walking. They're very stiff but with thick socks, I find them comfortable. Great price for a quality hard-wearing shoe. I bought them to replace my Mendl shoes which fell apart after a few months of use.

Gutes Produkt
