Grover9NB Sta-Tite Ukulele Tuners, Nickel with Black Buttons

I bought these to install on a Cordoba Mini (6-string guitalele) since the headstock and body are sized like a baritone ukulele (won't fit guitar heads). Fit was perfect albeit I had to redrill the lower screw hole (plugged the old hole with a toothpick). Well made: holds pitch and silky smooth turning. Viewed from the front these Grovers look the same as the cheap stock heads—just black knobs sticking out—but from the rear they're a nice visual upgrade: simple but attractive. The only minor gotcha is you need to buy two sets to upgrade a guitalele and have a couple pieces left over.

Impressed with the look and quality of these tuners. Unfortunately the main shaft is to low. I need 2mm from plate to string hole. These were to short for my ukulele so I had to return them. Could not find the other Grover model like these with the 2mm that I needed. But I was impressed with the quality and look of these tuners. I ended up purchasing the BQLZR Chrome Tuning Pegs Machine Heads 2R2L For Ukulele 4 String that fit perfect. Not as high quality as these Grover tuners but they work fine.

One of the cheap tuners on my Luna concert Ukulele broke and these Grovers were a perfect replacement. Good quality and were an easy swap. The bushings that came with the set did not fit but no problem, I just reused the originals . The black buttons look good and the tuners work smoothly and hold tune. Nice upgrade from the originals

I purchased these to match the coloring of my ukulele as well as my assumption that they would be more efficient tuners than what was currently on this uke. They appear to work well and look great.

I purchased a uke from a church mission and it was well made except the tuners were junk-very frustrating to play. These are of excellent quality, the price is good too. I purchased small depth stop drill bits from StewMac to avoid splitting the headstock when drilling for the mounting screws (plus, I had to use an 11/32" bit to clean out the shaft holes, which were not a std. size on my uke). That being said, I had some trepidation about doing all that, but it turned out not to be a big deal and it made a world of difference in my enjoyment of the instrument.

I've used hundreds of these in dulcimers and they're my favorite basic bent plate tuners. They come in a longer string post variety as well if your headstock is thicker

quality tuners at a very reasonable price. Shipped quickly and well packaged. Replaced cheaper plastic ones on a Ukelele. Maintains tune much better. Had to drill new screw holes but easy to do. Just take your time and line things up carefully with the head stock. Black tuning peg looks great.

Good quality and hopefully will stay in tune. Installed on my Enya tenor ukulele. Shorter than the stock ones but usable. Had to drill holes bigger and are a little short but hope they stay in tune better than the copies. Will update when I know. The old ones needed a quarter turn brighter every day to tune in. Ordered a cream coloured set for my Martin soprano as it’s headstock is slightly thinner than the Enya. So would buy again just wish they were 1/8” taller.

Well made and comes with a few spare screws. At least they have a comprehensive drawing of the part online so you can check whether it will fit your ukulele. I don't know how the cheap ones compare in quality.Replaced the friction pegs with these. It takes a few hours to do a neat job, drilling out to 9mm holes and then the pilot holes for the screws. My only complaint is the UK price as they are half that in the US (but postage from there makes it not worhwhile).

J'ai acheté ces mécaniques pour restaurer un ukulélé. Elles sont absolument parfaites car elles permettent un réglage des cordes minutieux et elles tiennent la note. Les matériaux sont de grande et belle qualité, conforme à la description. Maintenant, je fait de ce ukulélé presque mon instrument principal tellement ces clés sont agréables à régler et de plus, je constate que les cordes bougent très peu. Donc plus de plaisir à jouer ( I'm enjoy long time play along with them). Fabuleux !!!
