Smells Like Rotten Eggs… But It Works! Thanks Professor B
I’ve struggled with acne for a long time and have tried many different products, but nothing has worked as well as this one. The De La Cruz Sulfur Ointment has honestly been a game changer for my skin. I use it as the 10-minute spot treatment mask, and it noticeably reduces inflammation and helps clear up pimples much faster than anything else I’ve tried. It can be a little drying, but that’s easy to manage if you follow up with a good moisturizer. Once I started doing that, my skin handled it really well. What I like most is that it works without irritating my skin the way many strong acne products do. My professor actually mentioned in class that sulfur has been used for acne treatment for a long time, usually in masks or soaps, and that it tends to smell like eggs. After hearing that, I decided to try this product and also watched a video about it before buying it. The smell is definitely there, but since you only leave it on for about 10 minutes, it’s manageable and worth it for the results. Because of how effective this has been for me, I’m now ditching a lot of the other harsh products I used to use. My routine is much simpler, and my skin feels calmer and clearer. If you struggle with stubborn acne, this is definitely worth trying.

Perioral Dermatitis disappearing!
I’ve had PD for years and years. Have been prescribed just about everything under the sun by 3 different derms who just seemed to want to get me in and out the door as quickly as possible. I had it mostly managed with a 15% Korean azelaic acid serum and same brand of B5 (cos the baha… no longer available in US but can still order from Stylevana or JOLSE, TG). Anyway I had a recent pretty bad flare (not sure what caused it), but my usual duo weren’t pulling their weight. I also noticed increased itching at the back/nape of my neck and my hair around my ears. I went down the Reddit rabbit hole for a few hours and realized that I might have been suffering from some kind of yeast overgrowth and found a few posts by people that had effectively treated PD with sulfur (they had been diagnosed with PD but further derm testing showed yeast overgrowth). I thought, well, that’s one fn thing I have NOT tried yet. Holy crap I am SO GLAD I bought this. First things first- I assumed since people said it was drying that I was going to put it on and feel immediate burning/tingling where my redness/dryness is (chin fold, side of chin under corners of mouth, nose creases and further out on lower cheeks above my nasolabial). About 99% of products I try BURN on those areas. This DID NOT. Not even a little. In fact, it felt super soothing and I saw the redness go down in real fn time. Second, for whatever reason- despite having combo skin I then expected this would be super drying. After the first use, I noticed no additional dryness or any tightness whatsoever so I ignored the instructions to start with once a day and have been using this 3 times a day for the past 3 days. My skin isn’t dry at all. In fact those pesky dry patches are GONE. My skin is waaaay less red. Like everywhere less red. Seems to have eradicated my rosacea symptoms too. I had all these little tiny flesh toned bumps along my forehead (hairline), my temple area and near my ears too. They’ve always been there but never really noticed them or paid them mind since the PD was always so angry and my focus. Well, they’re freaking gone. Just gone. My skin has literally never looked clearer or felt LESS dry. What kind of sorcery is this?! Seriously. I’ve been dealing this this crap for over ten years and all I needed was this gooey $9 bottle?! My PD is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced. I cannot wait to see if this knocks it out completely. I seemed to have to be able to treat the left side of my face (a couple years ago) but my right side hung on. FINGERS crossed. I’m taking a before pick right now and hope to update this review in a few days with both pics. *** 1 week update! Ok, so.. the three times a day WAS too much after all. I had so symptoms but then overnight my barrier was destroyed (only where I have perioral dermatitis- rest of the skin was totally fine). I gave my skin 3 days to recover and now only using it ONCE a day per the instructions and leaving it on 5 min instead of 10. I still love the product and it’s helped clear my skin tremendously and manage redness- but don’t be fooled. It’s a strong active and PD is a barrier dysfunction disorder so have to be careful there. My skin is still 20x better from using once a day for shorter bursts so I’m still very happy I found this.

Works great
This works really well for cystic acne. It helps dry out breakouts faster and reduces inflammation. The only downside is the smell, but it’s worth it for the results. I usually use it as a spot treatment overnight and see improvement by morning.

To my amazement, this is working thus far
I never review things, I am not a bot, not paid to do this. I am a 36 year old male, dealing with acne since I was 14. I noticed there weren't many male reviews, so hopefully this helps someone. I have tried so many things over the years, and lately my acne has been acting up more than usual. The only thing I haven't tried is Accutane. I bought this on accident lol... Within one day I noticed I woke up without any new acne on my face, that is extremely rare. I have been using it twice a day, everyday, for the past 5 days. So far no new acne has appeared and the acne that I did have seemed to be disappearing at 100x the normal rate. I am not an optimistic person, I still expect this to fail by default, but I can not argue with results. Why I think it may work : it has side effects. I have never seen a miracle, so the fact that it had noticeable side effects IS A GOOD THING. It has a medium strength sulfur smell(like rotten eggs) and it does dry out the skin. But if you are a real person, you know every acne medication that works or does not will give you dry skin. The dry skin is no more than any other strong acne medication. If you want to solve your acne, you will deal with dry skin and have to find solutions. I will not deduct a star because the sulfur smell. Obviously it was going to smell like what it is. But I am working on finding solutions to lessen the smell. One main thing is that it will cling to towels, clothes, pillowsheets. I am going to try and use paper towels to dry my face and specific sleeping clothes that will smell a little. I have grown past being embarrassed by acne, at this point it is about the time dealing with it and the pain of each new gnarly breakout. The smell isn't that bad to me after a few days and I think I will find solutions for that. I will update this as time goes on, I still think it will stop working soon. But maybe because the trade off of the smell it will actually work. I may not even have to use it 2x a day, everyday. But even that is barely any time at all compared to other things I have tried. How has no doctor ever mentioned this to me? Never explained that the acne may be fungal related? I do not know. All I know right now is that this is working and working immediately. Will hope for the best and update. Worth a try if you have gone through the ringer with acne. Good luck all.

Game Changer
Alright guys. I’ve had acne for 20+ years. Sulfur is 100% bringing out the big guns. This is the best topical you can get giving acutane results. Be careful though, because it causes chemical burn with high use. I used it as on overnight ointment for 4-5 nights and it cleared me RIGHT up. Although the next few days I’ve been burnt and peeling. I don’t even care because my skin is so smooth!! 10/10 worth it. It is advertised more of a mask/spot treatment to be washed off in 10 mins. It just sulfur in petroleum jelly. So it’s sticky and goopy. And obviously it has an oder, it’s sulfur. A raw element known for its odor. Anyone commenting to say that is like saying water is wet. This, benzyl peroxide and an acne safe SPF is a killer acne arsenal.

Worked initially, but then gave me more Acne!
I have been battling with fungal acne for a long time. It all started when I was taking antibiotics for acne. At first the antibiotics were working very well, and my acne was starting to subside, but after a few months on the antibiotics my skin started to get very bumpy and scaly all over. I had no idea what was going on and then when I went to the dermatologist, she prescribed me more antibiotics which just exacerbated the problem. I decided to take matters into my own hands, and after much research I decided on nizoral. It worked for awhile and calmed everything down, but the FA started to come back. Then after watching Dr. Dray on youtube (I just noticed this sounds just like dr dre), I decided to get this sulfur treatment since it is so cheap and I see the many positive reviews. It initially was working very well, and when I felt my forehead it actually felt very smooth after a few uses. I was on cloud nine because I found something the works and the fungus won't develop a resistance to. but after awhile I started breaking out in more itchy red bumps. I think it might have given me contact dermititis becuase it is not as easy to wash off as you would think. Also, it smells really bad at first, but after using it for a week I didn't really notice the smell. Anyways, after more research I found something else that has really calmed down my FA which is zinc pyrithione which was also recommened by Dr. Dray. After doing more research I think the perfect solution is Dr. Eddies' Happy Cappy Shampoo which can be found here: https://amzn.to/37ULFi5. After a few weeks of using this solution, my bumps have greatly disappeared and it doesn't burn and dry out my skin like the sulfur did.

Sulfur ointment
This sulfur ointment WORKS! it got rid of my perioral dermatitis within days. this combined with simple skincare (cerave gentle wash + Vanicream moisturizer) and switching to fluoride free toothpaste got rid of my PD. after using this treatment, the redness would significantly go down immediately after washing it off. the smell isn’t great but I would take a rotten egg smell for a bit over PD

It definitely works!
Has really helped to clear my cystic ance! Nothing has worked but this! Cleared most of it in about 3 days. It is drying so make sure to moisturize after use and the smell does linger but its literally sulfur so thats to be expected. Highly recommend this product!!

Made a spot shrink overnight
Had a bump near my bikini area, I think because of ingrown hair, didn’t go away for a month. Applied this once, it instantly shrunk and only needed to apply it one time. Amazing! The only downside is it’s very drying, I would be scared to use it on my face.
