Excellent quality
Have had this for a year and I can’t express how much I love it. It’s quite sturdy, but if it broke I’d replace it in a heartbeat

Comfortable.
Love this bench. Handmade in Canada. I wonder if the price will go up? I’m so glad I bought two of these before our lunatic president started a trade war with our friends to the north. Very comfortable bench. I can’t sit in full Lotus or half Lotus or crisscross applesauce for very long without having knee and hip pain. But with this bench, I can sit for a long time with a straight spine. To still your mind, you must first still your body. Meditation is like letting all the snow in a slow globe settle to the bottom

Just right height and shape
I like the bench a lot and have been using it daily for about a week. When I kneel for extensive periods with a pad below my knees, supported by this bench, I do not have any joint aches. My only complaint (which takes some getting used to) is that my feet had to stretch outside the bench legs as there is not enough space for it to rest in between.

I love this bench...even more now
First, this bench is very high quality and is everything as described: Solid but light-weight, comfortable. No padding required. The legs can be removed and all parts put in the linen bag it comes with for easy portability. Personally, I loved this bench from the moment I opened the box but love it even more now that I've experienced an unexpected benefit...I got the standard size to use for my prayer time. I was raised to have and still maintain good posture but I do have heavier thighs, not huge but also not skinny, and unexpectedly tight knees and ankles undoubtedly from injuries sustained playing sports. As such, though the seat itself has always been comfortable, for me, the kneeling position was surprisingly difficult. The discomfort would be so distracting I had to ease off every few minutes for relief. However, with daily use, my knees and ankles have gotten stronger and much more flexible such that I can now sit for an hour or more without discomfort. Now I just need to loose a little fluff off my thighs so that my feet aren't asleep when it's time to stand! Haha.I very much recommend this to anyone that needs to kneel more comfortably.

Really comfortable meditation bench
I'm new to meditation. I've found sitting cross-legged gets pretty uncomfortable after a few minutes. Sitting back on my heels is better but not that much better. I read that using a meditation bench might be the solution, and let me sit without being distracted by discomfort after 5 or 10 mins. I was a little hesitant about buying this stool, given its at the upper end of the price range and I had only seen some photos. I wasn't sure if was the right heigh, whether it would be any more comfortable than sitting on a cushion, etc.. Turned out to be a great purchase. I find it really, really comfortable (I'm 6ft tall and fairly well built). The combination of the curved seat and the tilt put my spine in a nice, neutral position. It actually feels really nice to just sit on the bench for 10 mins after driving, or sitting in front of a computer for a while. To make it even more relaxing. put a folded yoga blanket under the bench when I use it, to get a softer surface than hardwood against the tops of my feet.I can't testify how comfortable this seat is after a long period. I only sit for 15 mins or so. But, I don't see any reason why it would get uncomfortable over time. Bottom line. This bench might be at the upper price range for a mediation bench, but for me its really worth it. And, if you are considering it, chances are its right for you too.

Overall, satisfied
I started with the medium size. Should have worked but wasn’t ideal because my 60 year old knees hurt doing longer meditations. The goal in my purchase was to find something that allows me to kneel longer without pain in my knees. Despite my height (5’9”), the larger size was a better fit. Understandably, the larger one is bigger and heavier which is a consideration for portability. I was surprised, given the price, that the product was not more beautiful. The wood has no grain pattern and has not been sanded as finely as I would have expected. Having worked with wood over my lifetime, perhaps my expectations were too high. Overall, the purchase is satisfactory. I do like the design and it accomplished my intended purpose. I wish that I loved it from an aesthetic standpoint, given that this is likely the bench I’ll use for the rest of my life.

Might be ok for some, but caused instant pain for me
If your hips are quite wide and they kind of spill over the edges a little this might work. I am average and my hips sit down in the curve, meaning that hip bones press in (on the sides, not the bottom) and actually suspend my entire weight on those two spots. Instant pain as the heads of the femur are jammed into the hip socket. So not for everyone, and not for anyone who has a rear end smaller than the entire curve. If you are bigger than the curve you can sit with your hip bones (on the sides of your upper leg--technically it is really the upper curve of the femur) higher than the wood. That should be ok. Also the finish was really poor, looked like that just used plywood as it came from the factory and never even sanded it, just slapped a stain on it leaving a rough finish. Wouldn't have passed muster when I made a stool in boy scouts at age 11, but they seem to think it is good enough.
