Beauty's Daddy: Billionaire Daddies, Book 1

Book #1, Billionaire Daddies. A unique, modern and very erotic take on the Beauty and the Beast fairy tale by Jane Henry.
Annabelle Symphony is having a very bad day! She's late for work. It's pouring rain. As she races around the corner in a mad dash, she crashes into a gorgeous hulk of a man, spilling his coffee down the front of his expensive, hand-made suit. He's beyond furious! Even though Annabelle apologizes profusely, offers to have his suit cleaned, the man's temper flares out of control. After dismissing her like a child, Annabelle's livid herself. What a total jerk! The man's insufferable! But she has to get to work and does her best to forget the incident. Just as she settles into her work day, she hears the unmistakable sounds of a car crash outside the diner. As she tears into the street, her heart stops! She recognizes the beat-up Buick mashed into the other car. It's her mom's. Panic stricken, Annabelle doesn't even notice the other driver. Her mom, in the early stages of dementia, isn't supposed to be driving. How had she even gotten the car keys? Worse still, what is this going to do to her family? They have no money. They're barely making ends meet. Then the impossible happens. The other driver is none other than Mr. Gorgeous Hulk himself, Sawyer Gryffin, the town's most infamous and richest man, the very same man Annabelle nearly ran over earlier. His anger at her ruining his suit is nothing compared to his current fury. Confrontation at the hospital following the accident brings changes to both Annabelle's and Sawyer's lives that neither ever saw coming. An unlikely proposition is made and accepted. But does Annabelle truly know anything about Sawyer Gryffin? Can she trust him to keep his word? Are the rumors true? Has she made a deal with the devil himself? As for Sawyer, he's in the deepest of pain. He's never forgiven himself for the past. Can he live up to the promises he's made to Annabelle? Does he even want to? What will this do to his carefully constructed world? The agreement they've reached has the potential to destroy him in ways he never thought possible. He's lived with unspeakable pain and bitterness for over a decade. Can he live with what's right in front of him? Outside forces want to take both Annabelle and Sawyer down. As danger and conspiracy loom, destruction appears inevitable. Sawyer and his business are at risk. Annabelle and her reputation are on the line as well. There's the very real possibility that Annabelle's family will be torn apart forever. What can be done to stop the forces threatening everyone near to both Sawyer and Annabelle? Is there any way to prevent the loss of everything either one holds dear? Or will the past repeat itself? Will death once again reign supreme, or is there a way to stop the cycle of loss and pain?Jane Henry's writing is phenomenal! She has taken the iconic fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast and transformed it into a spectacular work of fiction that is totally enthralling and riveting. This is the first book in a new series for Ms. Henry, and it's an amazing beginning. It's delicious, dark, inviting, and very erotic. The combination of action, adventure, good, evil, and erotic romance is so well-crafted and enchanting in its detail and creativity. This is a bit of a departure from the other books I've read by Ms. Henry but it works so very well. I'm beyond impressed! I couldn't put my Kindle down. I give Beauty's Daddy my highest recommendation without reservation. Thank you, Jane Henry, for a unique, imaginative, and thoroughly captivating reading experience. This book is extraordinary! One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. A Sexy, Boundary Pushing Tale that Sadly Falls Flat...
In my late teens I moved from the midwest to NYC. And for the first ten years there, I had the opportunity to meet all different sorts of folks within the clubs and bars I worked. It was a world I cherished as it filled me, for the first time ever in my life, with a sense of belonging and safety. As I grew, surrounded by the rich fabric of individuals who absorbed themselves deeply into bdsm communities. I became instilled with a deep respect for one's right to feel how they feel, need what they need, and love (and be loved) how they want and need. "Beauty's Daddy" by Jane Henry, a modern, kink fueled retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Is a perfect example of this edict I live by, the tenet, "your kink is not my kink, but your kink is okay". It is the story of Sawyer, a thirty-something, reclusive billionaire, known barely above the realm of whispered rumors and frightening campfire tales after the mysterious death of his fiancee years earlier. And Annabelle, a strong and intelligent 20 year old. Who, after the death of her father, has to sacrifice her own bright future to care for her younger sister and ailing mother. A young woman struggling to stay above the rising tide of financial ruin and abject poverty. What follows is a dark and heartfelt tale of surrender and second chances. A razor sharp, blunt presentation of a damaged and brooding "Daddy" finding his bratty but completely innocent and naive "little girl". A girl he becomes compelled to take care of, spoil, and break in ways that burn him deeply with sadness, while igniting something far deeper in her. Their's is a fast and fierce connection that lead you in ways that will, in places, make you wonder where the lines between private and public actually are in this demanding, boundary pushing piece of literary titillation.Fair warning, if you are not already familiar with the range of all things "Daddy Trope". This book may not be for you, as it features strong themes of violence tinged D/s power exchanges where consent is ambiguous. An undertone, that for some, may be beyond the realm of acceptable. However, none of what is portrayed goes beyond the inherent natures of the characters within. And in and of itself, leads to a deeper understanding of why Sawyer and Annabelle need each other in ways they themselves don't initially, fully understand.Unfortunately though, for as brave and boundary pushing as "Beauty's Daddy" is, it sadly doesn't follow through with its exploration. Leaving sizable gaps in the events of the overall story, stopping far too short within the exploration of Sawyer and Annabelle's relationship from Paris to the end. A jump in pacing so abrubt it left me feeling as though a large chunk was missing towards the back third of the book. Where the first 20 chapters are a slow, delicious crawl toward truth and personal discovery. It suddenly jumps in pace straight to the end. As a result you are left wondering how (or even if) Sawyer resolves his long held guilt, and fear of breaking Annabelle. Left wondering how their love actually grows and cements itself before the epilogue. And whether or not aspects of the diary confirm or dismiss Sawyer's beliefs about why his fiancee really falls to her death. Something that is presented at the beginning as being at the very core of why he is the beast that he is now.It was a truly disappointing set of omissions. Omissions for me that took what should have been a truly interesting and scintillating, 5 star read, into just another okay, but surface dwelling, 2.5 star "Daddy" book.

Not as dark and exciting as the blurb suggested
I've given this 3🌟 because the writing style is polished and professional. And the author is clearly talented. However, I found the storyline incredibly repetitive (particularly the spanking scenes) so struggled to finish the book.Disappointing.

Great book
Why Amazon insist on 20 words for a review via kindle, I don't know. Especially when I just want to say that I really enjoyed this book.
