I don’t typically write reviews, but hopefully other dog owners will appreciate this! Main points: -Highly recommend for dogs with skin problems/allergies -Very subtle scent -Actually does moisturize and soothe -Gentle but still cleans well -Used in conjunction with Bark2Basics Re-Moisture Conditioner (highly recommended) for extra moisture and softness I have an Alaskan Malamute (thick double coat, like a husky) with skin allergies/sensitivity/intense dryness. She needs to be put on medication during peak allergy seasons or else her skin flares, her fur falls out, and puss filled blisters form on her skin…so obviously I am very careful about what products to use on her. She also hates strongly perfumed products, and will go rub herself in dirt/grass to get rid of the smell. I was hesitant at first to purchase this due to the description saying it has a “lavender scent”, but the scent is actually extremely soft and subtle and has not been bothersome to my dog at all. I did not dilute the shampoo. It formed a great lather, and did a fantastic job cleansing all the dirt and grime out (her coat is dry due to skin allergies, so it holds dirt and grime instead of having the proper oils that typically allow dirt to be slicked off). I wanted a shampoo gentle enough to use on her monthly since her thick coat holds so much dirt (this rules out most medicated shampoos that are typically for short term use). This shampoo hit the mark on every front!! I am very pleased with the product. While washing her, my own skin felt very soft, moisturized, and smooth from the soap getting on me, so I took this as a great sign! I highly recommend using the above mentioned conditioner that I went with, which really sealed the deal on softness and moisture for her coat. Her coat has never looked or felt better!!

Nice shampoo and smell. I prefer a stronger scent though. Cleans and lathers well. Leaves dogs soft and fresh.

I mixed the shampoo with good water that has no chlorine in it, and I mixed it according to the directions and the bottle. It seemed quite runny, but I have to tell you it was fabulous when I bathe my dog today. I am very impressed. It didn’t take much to get a nice suds on his body and cleaned him up just beautifully.. It doesn’t burn the eyes so I wasn’t fearful of scrubbing his face and his beard that gets full of food. I really like the way he smelled and his fur was very soft and easy to brush. He is a Kerry blue terrier full blooded and he looks so beautiful clean and fresh and smelled so good so far he is not scratching himself like other shampoos have caused him to do. I will update this if I notice any negative effects but I’m very impressed with it and I liked it and it will go a long ways mix it just like they tell you because that’s the best way to use this product. His skin and hair was very nice and soft and no flaking. I’m so happy with it.

My dog's coat was so soft and smelled amazing

This conditioner is my favorite! I have a Maltese,. For those who don’t know maltese have hair not fur! Which means no dander and not shedding but a LOT of mats and knots if you don’t brush daily. I keep my dogs hair fairly shot all year around but his tail is long. He’s a happy boy so you can imagine all the tail wagging, so you can imagine how matted it get on a daily basis. The rule of having a Maltesee or any dog with this type of coat is to NEVER get matted hair wet! The mats become tighter and almost impossible to brush out! I’ve always give my dog a complete brush out before bathing him. Then one day... I forgot to do his tail o.O When he was wet It was too late! I was lucky to have this conditioner. It s the best I e ever used and a,ways leaves my dog smelling delicious and his hair so soft and easy to brush. So I used an extra amount on his tail hoping it would help. AND IT DID. It was not impossible to brush out his matted tail! Also Once a month I use a professional whitening shampoo. Whitening shampoos are great but they can leave their hair feeling dry. The brand I use has a full system to make sure you treat the hair after whitening. There’s a good conditioner and also a reconstructing spray. But the full system is a bit expensive so for 2 years now I’ve been using only this conditioner after and omg it’s much much much better than the professional system (for show dogs) leaves Mac’s hair super soft, and better yet I don’t need to leave it on him for 5 minutes like the professional one! And the scent! The scent is delicious! Not too overwhelming. And long lasting. Mac smells amazing even days after his bath! If you have dogs like Maltese, yorkie, shitszu, poodle, bichon, or any other breed with hair like that this is definitely the best conditioner you will ever find.

Gloopy and easy to use. Nice fragrance soapy but easy to rinse. Did not sting dogs eyes. Would buy again
