SPRING! Time to Build a Nest, A Story about Trumpeter Swans

This is a great children's book. The artwork is beautiful and colorful. It makes you feel like you are right there with the Swans as they enter Spring, build a home, get kicked out by other wildlife and then finally find the ideal spot to lay the eggs and wait for their Cygnets. It's full of action, color and great learning for children (and adults). I highly recommend this book and all of Barbara Renner's children books.

Sweet book to read to the little ones.

This is such a fun book! Loved the gorgeous illustrations! Educational and fun to read! My 3 year old enjoyed it! Loved the use of descriptive words and onomatopoeia!

This was one of the cutest kids' books I've read in quite a while. My niece absolutely loved it. Pen and Cob are looking for a place to build their nest, realizing it's a lot of work, but definitely worth it. They go on a fun adventure getting this nest built. My niece enjoyed the words that pop out at you, allowing the reader to have a little fun with them.And oh my, the illustrations. This isn't just a kids' book. It's a work of art. It's absolutely beautiful and engaging and colorful. It's written in a way that keeps even an attention wandering kid in the story.I truly recommend this book to anyone with kids who love animals. There are animal facts in the back that make it super cool. And even coloring pages!!Seriously, this book is way cool.

The story of trumpeter swans by Barbara Renner is priceless.Not only it is a realistic depiction of how and where trumpeter swans build their nest, it talks of the perfect location for the nest, and the wildlife they encounter when trying to find a place to nest. There is also a glossary of terms at the beginning of the book, and a list of interesting facts at the back of the book. There are coloring pages, as well.The illustrations are lovely, and the colors are vibrant. Great little educational book. I believe the author thought of everything, when arranging this versatile picture book.

My family and I loved this book!! First of all, we love trumpeter swans. Second, it has beautiful pictures. It's engaging and full of great info.
