There is a seal on the pin, but it is not a real tight seal because of the way it operates. You will probably get some leaking if you shake the oiler, especially with lower viscosity fluids. **Q: Can this be used from all angles (e.g. upside-down) or does it need to be straight in order for the oil to pump?** A: Thanks for your question!
