worked great ( WELL, Perhaps not after all ) Updated! 11-26-21
UPDATE 11-26-21 So, I pressed the button on my remote to pop trunk and it didn't open. I could hear the clicking sound as if it was trying to open and yet it wasn't opening. After working for hours trying to get in my trunk due to poor design by Hyundai I was able to get seats let down so I could access the trunk to see what the issue was. once in I expected to find something had got caught in latch and was preventing it from releasing but this was not the case. It took lots of work but I was finally able to get the latch to release thanks to a flat head screwdriver. Once trunk was open where I could see what was going on I tried again to make button ( on remote ) and trunk lever by seat to work and nothing. I took the the lock out and decided I would have to replace it but first I wanted to see if I could determine what was wrong. I removed the plastic covering on it and was able to see that the sliding piece was not moving over far enough to allow hook to release. I took out a couple of more screws and found the motor ( kicks in when pressing the button ) was out of whack. I managed to get it reset and everything was working fine. I put it back together and tried 20 ( or so ) more times and it worked perfectly. I went and reinstalled into trunk lid and had my son pull the lever and number of times while using a screwdriver as the bar to activate the lock. Everything worked great and I was happy happy......UNTIL I decided to close the lid and lock it. I had the remote in hand so I pressed the button and of course it didn't work. So now I know the problem is in the tiny little motor part of this. I have not contacted the company yet but feel strongly that this item should last more than 1.5 years max. If this is the best they can do I will be recommending to spend a little extra and buy different latch from somewhere else. I will update again after contacting company. It was much cheaper than buying from dealership and super easy to install. My car warranty had just expired a month or so before mine broke and although at first I was upset at this fact it turned out in my favor. Under the warranty I would've paid $100 deductible for dealership to repair but turns out this was a much cheaper way to go and it took me less than 10 minutes to install and I'm not even close to a mechanic

Fits My 2016 Hyundai Elantra Perfectly โ A Satisfying DIY Experience
I found that these mud flaps fit perfectly with my 2016 Hyundai Elantra. When I inquired at an auto repair shop, they gave me an estimate of $300, but I decided to give it a shot myself. It turned out to be easier than I expected. I only needed a few tools, and with the help of YouTube tutorials, I was able to install them myself in about an hour. It cost me around $20 in total, and I'm extremely satisfied with the results. I highly recommend others to try this DIY project as well. Happy DIYing!

Fixed the problem
The trunk release latch located beside the driver's seat in my wife's 2016 Hyundai Elantra had stopped working. It would open using the release button on the fob, but I didn't want to risk it eventually not opening at all. Did some research online and several folks recommended changing the latch assembly. Found this one at a great price and it was very easy to install. Best of all, it did the trick and the release now works.

Perfect replacement
I broke my gfs trunk latch and I was easily able to replace it in 5 minutes. Apparently theyโre known for being garbage but this was a perfect fit, came in the mail after a few days, and zero problems since.

Reasonable price, easy to install
Getting the wiring harness disconnected is a bit finicky, but exact replacement. No adjusting for hours with a dollar bill between the lid and gasket. Just remove some trunk trim liner retainers, unplug wiring, unhook manual inside release, take out two 10mm bolts and install in reverse order. Of course you need some new retainers which are made to be installed and to the trash when removed.

Super Easy to Install
It took a solid 5 minutes to install this trunk latch. Great way to save a good chunk of change. Durability I can't speak to yet since I just installed it, but here's to hoping! I have no reason to think it won't last.
