Sunnyside 63432 2-Minute Remover Advanced Paint & Varnish Remover Gel, Quart

I was nervous about the 1 star reviews because honestly I’ve never stripped paint before. Our cement porch has old paint on it that’s worn from high traffic over a decade. I didn’t paint it so I had no idea if it was durable paint or epoxy. Put a thin layer on and waited and it did very little. Thought oh no doesn’t work. Tried again but poured it on very thick, it started rising before my eyes. Used a paint scrapper for a wooden house and it took very little off because of the grain in the cement. Sent my husband to buy a wire bristle brush and that did WONDERS! Lots of elbow grease but it took off every single bit!! Not an easy job but got the job done.

They’re not joking, this takes the stain right off. So easy to use, I didn’t find a huge odor but def need to have ventilation. This pours out thick enough to not be messy. I am very happy with the way this works so fast.

That stuff is worthless. Do not buy it. It did not take any paint off. I would not give it any stars at all but you have to click at least one star. That stuff is crap

I don’t know what kind of paint I was removing from this metal frame but it had regular looking primer underneath. It wasn’t powder coated for sure, maybe it would’ve worked if it was. It didn’t work at all, only made the surface a little gooey and I wound up cleaning it and sanding it. It didn’t wrinkle up at all. I’ll try it on my next project and see but this one was a bust.

Sunnyside 2-Minute Remover works better than toxic strippers. A friend asked to make her 3 nesting carved tables darker and Sunnyside remover was very efficient without scraping. A sponge and rag were used. Sunnyside other products are also good.

This barely works. I used it on a cast aluminum mailbox that had three layers of rust-o-leum glossy paint. The temperature and humidity were ideal (70 F and 55% humidity) ... mid day .. outdoors ... a gentle breeze. I used the product as directed. It did SOMETHING ... each time I applied it, waited and scraped. In five iterations over a few hours it removed about half the original paint. So I got some value of it. I have none left (it was just one mailbox!!!) and if ever I need to remove paint again I'd choose another product (though the reviews all say basically the same thing -- they don't really work that well).
