Great book. He captures the heartbeat of these early monks eking out a living on this inhospitable rock off the coast of Kerry while soaring in their souls in worship to their creator and redeemer. The second section contains all the historical background to these imaginative chapters and is fascinating. Now out of print this book is a must for those wanting to understand the spiritual motivations behind those early Irish monks.
