This is Magnesium Oxide
This is magnesium oxide so has bio availability of only about 4% according to Vitacost.com. On top of this, this supplement upset my digestive system with unpleasant effects. I have gone back to Magnesium Glycinate which has excellent bio availability and no unpleasant side effects, even at higher doses.

One year supply of Magnesium Oxide
Magnesium Capsules - High-Dosage, 400mg Elementary (Pure) Premium MagnesiumFor the current asking price of £17.99 you get a full years supply of 365 Magnesium capsules, it sounded like a good deal to me. I wasn't too sure of what type of Magnesium this was until the very large plastic bottle arrived. When this arrived I was still a little confused as all of the information was printed in German. But, I did spot a peel back label which then reveals the English language description. These capsule contain Magnesium Oxide, the daily dose is just a single capsule per day. I normally take a different kind of Magnesium 3 times a day which suits my needs better. Magnesium Oxide is one of the more common types of Magnesium, usually found in lower priced supplements. Each capsule supplies 400mg of Magnesium Oxide (107% NRV). There are no other ingredients, just Magnesium Oxide, which means no Magnesium Stearate or other undesirable packing agents are included, which is nice to see. The outer capsule is made from Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose which is vegetable based. These are virtually tasteless, the capsules are not small, but I don't have any problem swallowing them with a drink of water. I can detect no taste whatsoever when swallowing these. I don't seem to suffer from any negative digestive issues eitherCONTENTS:365 x Magnesium OxideThank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

Brilliant Value Medium Strength Magnesium
Magnesium is a great pick-me-up for increased energy and when needed to help fight the ill-effects of fatigue. It can also help you sleep a little easier and I use it for the sleep benefits and my partner uses it more specifically for the energy levels among other things to help support effective work-outs. The only thing to watch out for when taking a medium to high-potency magnesium supplement such as this is not over-doing it and especially if you're already supplementing with it elsewhere (such as in a multi-vitamin or similar) as it can cause a very upset stomach in high doses and in our experience you'll find yourself sitting on the lavatory for much longer and more regularly than you would like to - so stick to the recommended dose and if you experience stomach upset then half it and see if you can build up a tolerance to the recommended dose gradually. Generally one of these 400mg ones shouldn't cause too much of a reaction if you have issues with the 1-3000mg caps/tablets that are common. It's recommended to take one of these a day so this is great value for a year's supply.

a very basic type of Magnesium Oxide
I take a type of Magnesium every single day. It has multiple benefits for me from relief for aching muscles, to aid relaxation and helping my brain to work better.Usually I buy either Mag Glycerinate or Mag Malate,I had not come across Mag Oxide before so I had to look this up.Most of the information seemed inconclusive though I found this “Possible Side EffectsUpset stomach and diarrhea are the most common side effects of magnesium oxide. Taking magnesium oxide with food can reduce stomach troubles. If side effects are persistent or if they worsen, it is best to talk to your doctor. Most people using magnesium oxide supplements do not have serious side effects.Serious allergic reactions to magnesium oxide are rare. However, anyone who has symptoms of rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness and/or trouble breathing should seek immediate medical attention”None of which sounded too good. But it boils down to trying it for yourself cautiously or sticking to the more usual types sold like Mag Citrate, Mag.Gycinate and Malate. As this Brand is selling it quite cheaply I have some doubts as apparently it is expensive to source the best quality. I am going to ask a very healthy friend to try them for me as I have to balance out enough other pills and stomach troubles. It could be that this Brand is very pure and will suit another person very well.I would advise anyone to take it and proceed with caution and never exceed the recommended dose of just 1 capsule a day. Also I have given Magnesium to friends with leg cramps and it really does help.

One of the best magnesium supplements I've tried
I like these magnesium tablets, they feel very pure (they don't give me a bloated feeling like the Solgar vitamins do as they contain bulking agents) made by a 🇩🇪 German company, for a start they're vegan & gelatine free. GMO free, preservative free, magnesium stearate free, they seen very good quality. Plus at one a day, 400mg strength (seems that's the RDA) , they're adequate for 1 a day.I've noticed a difference after taking them for a few days. They work! I'm converted & will definitely juy afzin. I like this brand, they seem highly ethical & high quality as well as Excellent value for money. So far, I've taken 1 & I like them. They don't bloat me like the Solgar ones which are loaded with bulking agents. They feel very gentle on the stomach & easy to digest.I just wish this brand made more vitamins, as I'd be intersted to buy zinc or vitamin B Complex from them, which I couldn't find in their store presently. Please note : it's possible to overdose on vitamins also. I ding always stick to take 1 a day, actually with the exception of serious illness or antibiotics, I listen to my body more than anything else. You can do this by "feeling" & noticing how you feel after you take a substance. Actually even after food, especially after food, sense how you feel not everything agrees with everyone. Some people feel ill after eating eggs, some after apples even... Your body will tell you.
