Ingot this as a gift. The person I got this for does alot of crafts and wood working. There has been some unusual shapes and designs that needs to be shown in detail. This is an awesome idea so, all the person needs to do is press the conture tool against what he wants to mimic and use it as a guide. The person I got it for loves it. They have started a few new projects with this and is currently working on crown molding around their home. When he cuts the carpet or tile when they redo the basement this will come in handy around the pipes it is 10 inches long.

If you are doing any kind of flooring this tool is essential to get an accurate template to use to make cuts around irregular shaped objects like door molding and plumbing fixtures just to name a few. Those things are terribly hard to get right especially quickly. This saves time and materials by letting you do it right the first time

It works pretty good for matching up dimensions to cut. The angled markers are a bit odd....if they where 90 degrees flat then that would lead to a exact cut, etc.Overall, gets the job done and seems to be made well.

I used it for marking tile around the door jam and fireplace where the stone is uneven. I do wish there was a longer option because we used the wood style tiles and had to do segments. For 99% of the tile jobs this would be perfect though.

I've never been good at measuring angles, but now I have the confidence to tackle more complicated projects. This tool holds its shape after you have made your measurement. I am extremely happy with this purchase. A good quality tool.
