Not really what I expected
The product works, and sounds fine, however: (1) there is no cover for the CD so using it on a desktop means my cat sees a spinning disk, not ideal; (2) it does not tell you what track you are on. I listen to books and would like to keep track of where I am if I miss something; it does go back to where you were if you turn off the power, which is nice, but for this price range, I just think that's an obvious feather; (3) I cannot believe that you need to you have to use the (very small) remote control for useful things like pausing the CD. I cannot believe that the function is not on the unit itself and am scared of losing this remote control. (4) it's fairly stable, but wobbles a bit, as a desk unit, if touched or bumped. (5) the remote control battery came dead even though the plastic protector was in place. (6) I have not played with this much, but I did set the radio once and had been turning it off (when the remote control still did not work) to keep place on my CD...and when I went to radio again, it was reset. I really hope I'm missing something there or it's really dumb.

Two small issues
1) Open play area, nothing covers the CD when it's in the player, and there's nothing protecting the laser if you don't leave a CD in it.2) The remote is difficult to use, and I think it's more the sensor on the player. Angle and distance has to be JUST right, and I've found I have to get up to use it half the time, defeating the purpose.

Defective
CD would not spin and so returned this trash back to Amazon.
