The first time it broke where the hook attaches to the tape. My husband was able to repair it in such a way that the measurement was still accurate, so I was glad to have it back. The hook is large and does a great job holding on to various surfaces. The second time it broke, the tape just tore in two. Love the idea of a large hook, but the overall quality is poor. Also it seems to be the cheapest made tape I have ever owned, and I wonder how long it will last. The enclosed space at the end is the smallest of any tape I have ever had, and it is difficult getting a proper hold on it. AND it is way too expensive.
