I bought the product for my dog as he is sick. All his blood tests were very low. His platelet count was only 4,000 where the normal range is 267,000-500,000. He was given 2 antibiotics, a steroid, and I gave him Prohemia. I was told he probably wouldn't make it without a blood transfusion which at this time is unaffordable. I'm happy to say when I went back to the vet she was shocked at his improvement. His platelet count went up to 560,000. His other blood test results were a little low but closer to normal. My husband has taken 2 tablets of Prohemia every day for 3 weeks and yesterday he went to the Lab for a blood checkup and his Hemoglobin count was down - NOT UP. So up to now it hasn't helped at all. He needs to build his red blood cells and we hoped this would do it. He may have to get the shots that are VERY EXPENSIVE if this doesn't help. I bought this supplement for my 88 year old mother, who was kept saying that she had "no energy."
