I finally had to replace my first pair, after 13 years of heavy use! Just got the new ones and love them already. These aren't cheap, but they are worth every penny as they will last years and still be comfortable and look great. They also come in large sizes, which has always been an issue for me. Lots of a great color combos as well.

I love these flip flops. These are my second pair. I like them because they have a higher and more rigid arch than most flip flops. I have pretty bad plantar fasciitis and my doctor had sent me to a specialty store to buy expensive shoe inserts and expensive flip flops. I found these to be less expensive and to work better than the medical grade flip flops they were trying to sell me, and these look a lot nicer. My only minor complaint is that I have to order a couple of sizes larger than the shoes I actually wear. My typical shoe size is a 13 but I have to buy these in a 15 or my foot can't fit through the straps. It makes them a little long in the front and back but nothing that is a problem and the length isn't significant. One thing to consider is that these flip flops are not designed to get wet. They'll survive getting wet just fine but when they are wet the tops get very slippery and it's tough to walk with them until they dry out.

This is my husband’s 3rd pair of this exact flip flop. He wears them almost every single day. They’re the perfect summer shoe and nice enough to wear with jeans or linen pants at night. They are extremely well made and provide ample arch support.

I find my OluKai's to be extremely comfortable; they fit my size 15 foot very well with minimal side-side movement. Their non-skid is non-marking, so I can wear them on the sailboat without bunging up my decks or falling on my a**. I wear them regularly and they provide excellent traction in wet conditions. They can be dressed up or down - fairly neutral design - and seem to dry quickly. My previous pair lasted ~3 years, and the strap system seems to be more robust than other sandals I've owned.

They're a bit heavy in my backpack when I'm not wearing them, and not the best when wet (footbed gets a bit slick, but not too bad, though slow to dry) , but I love these things. I was traveling for a few weeks in warm climates and never took them off. NC beaches, Miami, etc. They were great for Miami - Beach to bar or restaurant np (Brown looks great, very high-end. Looks fine/semi dressy enough for for restaurants or bars) They perform well on any terrain, but I didn't want to risk blowing them out by taking them on too many inclines, hiking, etc. The sole is nice and grippy, doesn't show much wear after being on street a lot and varied terrain. The toe strap does loosen a bit as they break in, so they aren't as glove-snug anymore, but it's acceptable. Were comfortable out of the box, didn't need breaking in. For water use, these aren't the best, but for city, boating (the sole is non-slip, just not the footbed) and beach combo they're perfect. The footbed material is amazingly soft and feels like micro suede. Amazingly comfortable. Grab a cheapo pair of Reefs for in-water beach use - they are much lighter for your backpack. Reef Phantoms are half the price of Ohanas and serve well in beach/water, but not street. Olukai Ohanas are more for long haul walking, etc. For the water sacrifice you gain all terrain walking comfort that feels amazing. Worth it imo. ***JANUARY 2021 Update: Sole still shows barely any wear after years of regular use - no issues, everything well intact still. Finally showing footbed wear, soles are still bonded to upper, strap feels solid (though I expect eventually it'll probably rip the thong strap out. Upper is still soft and verrrry comfortable. Seriously great investment.

I really wanted to like these and was looking forward to them. But they are loose - a lot of slack in the strap on my foot. It made them very uncomfortable since I had to curl my toes as I walk to keep these on my feet. Thought I had an alternative to Reef … but, the Reef are going to stay on my feet!

Comfortable but very slippery when wet and wore out in 2 months.

I have a very tall son full figured, and these sandals were great for him.
