My grandma lives with me, and we have home health visiting. She hates having her blood pressure taken on her arm, so I ordered this OMRON "Gold Wireless Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor for Home Use - #1 Doctor & Pharmacist Recommended Brand - Clinically Validated - Connect App," so that we can use it to take her blood pressure comfortably at home. It has two different users for tracking purposes, selected by toggling a switch on the bottom of the monitor. It's very easy to use, but since it inflates slowly, sometimes it doesn't seem like it's working at first. So far I haven't had to change the battery. It seems to last for a while, since the use is intermittent. It can be used with or without the app. The app is used for different OMRON brand products. I did download the app, and while it's nice to have the memory of past blood pressures, it's not necessary in order to use this blood pressure monitor. It seem to take a fairly accurate blood pressure reading. I love how lightweight and portable it is, and how it's easy to put back in the plastic case between readings. I wanted to pay a little more for a brand I could trust, so I think the value is good for the brand.

I'm glad I went the extra bucks and stuck with a well-known like Omron. It is easy to use, accurate and quiet; noiseless actually. The "Two User" record keeping is very handy, but this is also my only complaint, the slide-switch is in a dumb location on the side, lower, somewhat under the wrist strap, and is pretty small. Aside from that, it is a perfect unit.

This brand is one of the most reliable for blood pressure readings, but I would bring it to the doctors office just in case it might be a few mercury‘s off. It’s nice that it can connect to an app, but it doesn’t necessarily need it. Hands down would get again for family or friends. One of the best recommended brands however it is a little bit pricey.

I purchased this unit because of the reviews and it's advertised functionality of accuracy and irregular heartbeat detection, however it isn't working properly at all. I received it 24 hours ago and I just spoke with their customer support about this unit. The problem has been that it will not take a reading no matter what I do. It inflates,the blue heart comes on to ensure the cuff is on properly and I am sitting still as it suggested. The only thing I'm doing is breathing normally and the screen says E4 after it has fully deflated and there's no reading of either pulse or blood pressure. I've never in all my years required anyone to hold their breath to take a blood pressure. And it seems that the only way for this monitor to function is if you are sitting on a hard chair with your arm on a hard surface and don't breathe. Wrong, as I tried that as well and got the same result. So he suggested that I return it promptly for a different unit but if this product only can be used in one exact position, I can't use it because if I'm dizzy and need to recline and check my blood pressure, then I'm S.O.L. so perhaps I may ask to exchange it and give it one more chance, because he told me that I just may have received a dysfunctional unit, but for the price I could get 2 other different products. I will update later. Editing review: I'm still keeping it at 1 star because the replacement unit arrived yesterday and it worked as it should, but today I tried to use it and again it has the same E4 code. I don't need something this expensive and unreliable. Blood pressures need to be taken in other positions than sitting up on a chair at a table so I'm returning this unit ASAP for a refund and purchase one somewhere else that will actually work.

I'm a 71 guy and not particularly tech savvy, but using the included app really made it a breeze to set this up on my iPhone. Yes, I did look at the "quick start" pamphlet, but once I scanned the QR symbol, I just followed the directions on the phone screen, but referred to the pamphlet for physical buttons (not many) on the machine. I don't know if the machine itself will make a history of your readings, but having them on your phone to show your Doc is really convenient. If any of this sounds too hard, get some help with it, because it is well worth it. Okay, so second thing. It came with two AAA batteries and that was handy. I wasn't clear on whether I should put them in first, but I waited until I had the app on my phone and that worked out perfectly since the app doesn't tell the machine to do anything, it just records what it does and was ready to record the results. I read a comment that the batteries don't last long. I don't know yet, but if they last only 30 days I don't care. I buy Amazon brand batteries cheap and never had an issue w/ battery life over the copper tops. I probably should have mentioned all this last, but I know that older people using this are particularly concerned with such thing so I thought it important to mention up front. So was it easy to use? Short answer is yes. I already had an arm cuff unit, but what a pain to use and awkward. Does anyone have a chair in your bathroom? I don't and that's how you're supposed to use them. This unit allowed me to sit in my recliner (with my wrist at heart level), reach over and attach to my wrist. I'm already in a 'resting' position and every Doc's office I go to uses them. Was it easy to get in the right position on my wrist? It was harder not to get it in the correct position is all I can say. It does a reading in about 30-45 seconds btw. Big numbers and easy to read. Wish I had done it sooner is all I can say. Easy to use. I don’t use the app. It stores 200 total readings for 2 users on a clear screen. Time, date, easy to set. It’s validated for accuracy and it’s extremely accurate. It was tested against 2 other accurate ones. Very cool feature lets you know your arm is in the right position : the heart lights up in blue- that’s when you are in the correct position. You have 5 seconds to get your arm positioned which is plenty of time. The cuff fits well, lets you know if it was too loose, or if you moved during taking the reading. LCD is easy to read. Look straight at it and there are no overlapping numbers. I’m dyslexic and have no issue with the LCD. Great compact carrying case. Directions are clear. Excellent value for it on sale! Detailed instructions in English and French pero no en español. Por qué no? Definitely recommend. It’s very quiet, you forget it’s on. UPDATED TO NOTE: it says to put it 1/2” from inner wrist crease. But not to cover the bone that protrudes on outer wrist. I would suggest going by the bone because 1/2 ” from inner crease covers that bone on me. Do the wrist test :) Muchas gracias, OMRON!

This is my third purchase of this item, the first purchased lasted approximately 4 years,the second one was not working properly, returned it,and purchased another one. Working great just like the first one. I highly recommend this item,convenient to use and carry with you should you have to.

I bought this BP monitor about a year ago and wanted to see how it performs before I write a review. Now that I've had it for a while, I can report that it has exceeded my expectations, considering that had bought cheaper ones in the past. My doctor was willing to indulge me and compare this one with his office BP monitor and I was very happy with the results which were comparably accurate. I noticed that some people reported that it was inaccurate which baffles me and it is possible that it may not be making proper contact with the wrist. The wrist band should always be placed snug just above the protruding wrist bone (pisiform bone). Inaccurate and erratic BP readings occur often when the wrist band is in the wrong position. This device is easy to use and, since I take my readings twice a day, I find myself replacing batteries about every 4-5 months. Not bad at all. I even contacted the company to assist in registering the warranty and they were very helpful. This was definitely worth paying a bit more for.
