Travel Home: Design with a Global Spirit

I ordered this book months ago. It was lost and then we refunded me. So I was a bit hesitant to order it again. I did and I’m glad I did. It’s full of great ideas and photos. Right up my alley!!!

This book captures everything I love most in life: design, photography and travel. Admittedly, I purchased it at first based on how it looks on the outside, but I was so pleasantly surprised when I started reading it. I loved the window into each designer's life and how their travels impact their design. The tips after each section were a very nice touch, and helps put readers put into practice many of the design ideas captured in the book. And the resource index at the end was great. I found two places in Chicago that I didn't know about before and will definitely be visiting in the future. Overall a wonderful book. It begins and ends with a wallpaper like graphic design that envelops the book in beauty.

Travel home is over 280 pages of colorful and bright various decor of people who have traveled around the world. The pages are diverse complex, interesting, and thought-provoking. Every home has a story and every person is interesting and delightful to read about. Everybody has real life adventures and the decor to match. The book is quite heavy, and it was the most remarkable cardboard sealed envelope. It was vacuum, sealed, to create such suction that the book would not move in the cardboard structure. It was sealed so tight in the book was so protected I have never seen anything like it. The book is in wonderful condition, as though it had been opened once or twice before. I cannot talk enough about the vacuum sealed heavy envelope that it came in. A remarkable company.

Excellent book for eclectic design

While the type was too small to read on my Kindle, the pictures were beautiful. Bright rooms spiced with eclectic and natural finds.

This book is both stunning and a great resource for someone like me who knows absolutely nothing about design. The photos are absolutely beautiful and inspiring, but reading through it also provided me an opportunity to learn more about design, styling and how to incorporate meaningful memories from throughout your life into your home. As an added bonus, it is a beautiful book to display proudly in your home.

Beautiful rooms, a plethora of ideas, quirky choices, travel stories, what’s not to love? Interesting to explore what gives the designers inspiration. I particularly liked the use of natural elements in their designs.

Eclectico, sin estridencias e inspirador. Interiores con una decoracion muy bien seleccionada y una bonita fotografia. Se siente agradable el estilo estetico de los propietarios y la forma que muestran objetos que consiguen en sus viajes o como reflejan con su propio estilo lo que les gusta de algunos lugares que han visitado.

What a great book. Features different designers and how they’re influenced by travels. Stunning photos too. I love the inspiration. Really connected with this book. Travel really inspires my creativity and this is what this book is about.
