S.R.Smith ART-1001 Artisan Series Pool Hand Rail Pair

Very sturdy and very nice ends on the handrail. Marine grade looks nice, came packaged good, and no dings or dents. Way better looking then the other brand that is somewhat like this style. the welds on the other brand was horrible! The SR smith welds are very clean for marine grade stainless. Doesn't protrude out, so I'm not worried about someone hitting their face. Mine is installed on the 1st step instead of the deck. LOVE IT, made my refinished pool, new tile, new coping with existing 30 yr old pool deck and the pool is 30 yrs old, look like a new build. Very thick, solid handrail. Price is a little high for the cost to manufacture this. But the quality is there. Haven't had installed long enough for rust or wear on the finish yet. Will update if issues. UPDATE: I have had it installed for 9/10 months and showing blemishes that won't wipe off, discoloration in the finish. I have marine grade and no salt pool, so not sure why it's showing blemishes. Also a couple tiny rust looking spots on it. I never use chemicals around it, no plants around it, no kids use the pool. So not sure why the blemishes and 2 or 3 tiny spots, hoping it will not continue to get worse. Any suggestions on what products to use and how to not mess the finish and clean properly are welcome!??

If you have to have a pool hand rail, this is beautiful. It's a little expensive but so much nicer than your typical hand rail and very fairly priced on Amazon. I have seen the exact same hand rail for a lot more money elsewhere.

Nicer more modern look. Fit the old mounting holes perfectly.

Buyer beware. We bought 2 of the Art-1001-mg Artisan Series Pool Hand Rail Pair, marine grade. Installed them in March. One of them looks beautiful. The other is already rusting. SRsmith does not warranty these products but expects us to daily rinse them. We would never have bought them if we knew they rust so quickly and require daily maintenance. Save your money and don’t upgrade to Marine Grade.

We were wanting handrails for safety for in-laws to use the pool and for us for future. However. we hated the idea of changing the look of our beautiful pool by adding the standard hotel look handrails (bleh!). Found these - bought 1004 for pool and 1001S for spa. So much happier with these than we would have been with the standard rails. They are solid/heavy handrails. Of course, installation has to be right. They look great. We spent the extra on marine grade, not because we thought we really needed them, but just in case - given that they are pretty pricey, the MG wasn't that much more to pay for the security of not worrying about rust.

Bought the pool railing along with two of these in the same design for the spa. I bought the marine grade - the one that has the best quality, and I am VERY happy with them all. They look beautiful in the pool! They are sturdy. Had a professional install them, and they are perfect! Don't forget the escutcheon plates for the bottom of the rails.

The Artisan hand rail is a beautiful upgrade from the basic. The product came in only 1 day although it wasn’t expected for several days~ A welcomed surprise!!
