Unique LoomDavos Shag Collection Area Rug - Solid (9' x 12' Rectangle, Linen)

I wanted to write a review because some of the ones I read about this product mentioned a few red flags for me, while others contradicted them. I rolled the dice and bought FOUR of these for my bedrooms and they were delivered to my new house on moving day. Literally spent close to 1G on them and crossed my fingers!My red flags:1. “the carpets are so sparse you can see the backing.” This is 100% true right out of the packaging. I was aghast at what I bought...horrified, but I opened the packaging as the movers were carrying up my furniture and had to give them a chance. I’m glad I did. After 3 days, I finally vacuumed on the high setting and they fluffed right up perfectly.2: “No vacuum can accommodate the high shag and customers had to return these rugs” I had literally no problem on my vacuum’s high like setting.3. “Chemical smell” Totally true. It was so bad the first night we had these inside, my throat was burning. Terrible. Awful. But 3 days later, not a trace. So, maybe open these outside for a few days before you bring them in? It does dissipate.They have no cushioning behind them and no padding in case you need that. Otherwise, these are working out great!

Exactly what i was looking for in a large rug and affordable! It’s soft and feels good under foot. If you are looking for a more plush, cushiony feel you will ABSOLUTELY need a carpet pad, but it’s perfect for under the bed to me. This is the 8x10 rug with a king size bed in top for reference.

Took a risk by purchasing this when I didn’t see any reviews or photos but I am beyond pleased! So I am posting my review to help others. Shipping stated it would take about 4-5 business days and I was okay with it, but this guy came NEXT DAY. The color is a perfect light sage. There is no padding at all but I am using it to cover ugly beige carpet so it’s no problem. It was pretty stiff so the sides were rolled pretty bad, but it took less than a day to flatten. Overall I am beyond pleased with this purchase for the quality and price!

I really like this rug! I can't speak to stain resistance or durability because I've only had it for a day, but overall it's very nice. Negative reviews that talk about it being thin are correct - it's not your typical ultra squishy shag - at $90 for a 7x10 have realistic expectations. It feels like hard floor under foot and the pile is not dense. I have 2 dogs, 2 cats, a husband, and I like light colors; I replace area rugs about every year. This one is probably my favorite thus far. The fiber has a sheen to it and looks more expensive, there was no warping on the edges so it's properly square. If you're looking for larger sized rugs without a big financial or style commitment, buy it.

Pretty color (true dusty rose) and it looks nice (from far away, at a quick glance before you realize how cheap it is). The price is low compared to other rugs, but it’s not a “steal.” It’s a “you get what you pay for” product. It’s thin with zero padding, it has zero skid resistance so it will be slipping on your tile floor, it’s not plush by any stretch, and the fluff or whatever you want to call the material on the top of the rug is actually slippery when you walk on it barefoot. It also started to shed some of the material and I don’t even know how. We haven’t walked on it with shoes or vacuumed it. In short, don’t touch it, don’t breathe on it, don’t walk on it and you’ll be fine.

I LOVE how soft this rug is! Its in my master bedroom and it is so soft. Love walking barefoot on it! It did have a weird smell chemical when we got it and the smell lasted a good week. Should have taken it out of the plastic and left it in the garage for a week before laying it down in our bedroom. Smell was strong for a few days. But now that the smell is gone we are loving this rug! I haven't had it that long so can't comment if its easy to clean or stain resistant yet though. My dog is also loving the rug though. She seems to have given up her dog bed for the rug ;)

Overall, it is a nice rug. Soft, great color. However, I noticed the shag on one side of the rug, stops about an inch or so from edge. I have to be careful to brush the shag over to cover the baldness. I figure, Ill cover that bald edge with my bed...but for the price, a little more attention to detail is necessary during production. I however, would still recommend it.

I bought it thinking what I was getting was what was pictured. What I see in the advertising photos looks like a bathroom mat quality carpet. It looks plush and medium thickness in the photos. So, let me describe it to you what I actually got. The shag fibers do not go to the end. They stop 1”-2” from the edge. The rows of shag fibers are 1/2” inch apart from each other leaving it bald in appearance. You can literally see between the rows of fibers when it’s down. The whole thing itself does not lay flat and it is off centered. The weave runs at a slope as if it was cut at an angle. Poor quality. Very poor. And I don’t even want to tell you about the smell. I think I got high off it.

Items late. Bought 3 took too long to get here. Almost a month. Rugs were rolled up for a long time because the bumps are taking long time to flatten. They are 1” thick. The quality of the fibre is not great and they are too thin. You need underlay because they are thin and they will slide like crazy over a wood floor and you will wipe out big time. I got 7/16” underlay and they look and feel much better. Color is ok. So for the price they are just ok.

It is a very pretty rose colour same as the picture but I was very sad to find out it is not made the same as the picture shows. It shows a nice fluffy carpet but what I got was flat and the loops of carpet are bigger then the picture so they look odd. Very angrey it is not the same as the picture. Not very comfortable under the feet so it was good I got underpadding as extra protection for the floor.

The aqua 8x11 is beautiful. It is better than I expected. It is thick enough not to need an under pad. It arrived on time wrapped well and easy enough to carry up 2 flights of stairs. Excellent purchase.

This colour of the rug is very nice, but the rug is very very thin. Thankfully I’m just using this for under my bed, but if I was using this in my living room it would need an underpaid for sure. Even the edges are hard if you step on them.

Well, I bought this cute rug to help make my room look pretty and cover the sh*tty carpet. Works great and my dog loves it. he sleeps every single night on my rug. So I'm going to say it's definitely approved!
