Porc-A-Fix Touch Up Repair Glaze to Match Kohler, Biscuit (KK-46)

This stuff is manufactured in my town but I had to buy it online! I hAve a fan y Kholer sink in my bathroom. It's gotten some chips over the years. They don't make it anymore, so I decided to try and touch it up. Looked online (Google) and this was the highest rated product available. You have to follow the directions carefully, and it takes a number of apllicatio s to fill so emof the deeper chips. In the end, it worked well and was much cheaper than replacing the sink. My sink is Biscuit color, this said it was the same, but it was not a perfect match. Not terrible, but definitely noticeable. Still, it did what I wanted, which was to fix the chips.

However, I didn't really follow the instructions but ad libbed. Around the drain of my really expensive Kohler pedestal sink were tiny cracks all around. I know that they were caused by little grandkids pulling up on the pedestal sink. I priced a new sink, and figured that since it was around 800 dollars, I could try the Pork-a-fix. At first I experimented with a crack in my porcelain tile in the kitchen. The color wasn't just right, but close enough. I put it on with the little brush and followed the instructions. I found the brush to be unwieldy and I couldn't get precise results. I took my finger and smoothed the Porc-a-fix around the sink. I added a little more and smoothed again, feathering it out along the edges. Perfect!!!!!! Of course you require some paint thinner to remove it from your finger, but I just used acetone. No problem. I'm planning on matching that kitchen tile better color wise and buying some more. I did fill in a little hole in a tile, and that worked great too.

Perfect match to bath tub. Covered up great, brush lets you apply thin or thick coat. Have bought before, easy to use.

Porc-Fix arrived on time and was easy to use. Watched a few YouTube videos first. Be sure to clean area. Apply like nail polish using very thin coats several times while allowing each coat enough time to dry throughly in between! Each coat will slowly build up layers until chip is filled in. Lightly sand between each application. BE PATIENT!!! This product works! Keep sink area dry. Repair looks awesome when finished! Time will tell how the repair holds up. No more unsightly black chips!!! So reasonably priced too!

This touch-up glaze was easy to use following the supplied instructions. However, the color was distinctly whiter than my Kohler sink (biscuit color) that I purchased in 2018. That said, Kohler wanted over $100 for their touch-up glaze, which is outrageous.

The product works really well. Use multiple thin coats with sanding in between with fine grit sandpaper. If you guess the color correctly (linen or biscuit usually. Don't buy bright white) and if you're patient, the patch is nearly indistinguishable. BUYER BEWARE: If you're like me and purchased two different colors with the intent of returning one, the supplier doesn't do returns because it's considered a flammable material. I had to contact Amazon customer service to get my money back. I was kind of irritated that there was no warning since it's an Amazon Prime item.
