Lynx Audio SW-836D 10-Inch Active 500W Subwoofer Custom Ported Transparent Sound Box with Built-in 300W High Frequency Amplifier

Let me start off by saying WOW WOW and WOWWY WOW WOW!!! This Lynx Audio SW-836D 10-Inch Active 500Watt subwoofer system is extremely amazing! Throughout a few years now, I've purchased other subwoofer systems, either going by brand name or because it looked like good quality at a decent price. I've always wound up being disappointed with each system for one reason or another, either it was poor quality, sub-standard wiring/equipment or they just plain didn't hold up to what their listings said. I've seen Lynx Audio products on Amazon for a couple years now and always swayed away from them because I've never heard of Lynx Audio before, plus their products actually looked to good to be true for the low prices their systems are selling for. Well, I finally decided to give them a try because I was looking to upgrade my car stereo system in my 2006 Mustang GT and I wanted a subwoofer that would fit in my trunk like a car specific system would, or at least as close to one would without having to pay some outrageous price for it. The measurements for this particular Lynx unit matched exactly the measurements for installing this up under my rear dash, between my two rear 6X8 speakers and even the back of this unit is angled perfectly that it mates right up to the back of my rear top seats! Granted, I had my doubts at first because the price seemed a bit low, but when this system showed up at my door step and I opened up the packaging, I was extremely blown away at the attention to detail and the quality of the construction and all the wiring that was included with this unit! I could not believe I just paid under $200. for this nice of a system. I held off on saying anything until after I got this unit installed and fired it up to make sure everything worked properly. I've installed hundreds of car stereo systems throughout the years and this unit was one of the nicest/easiest to install. I still took my time making sure to hide all the wiring and to make it look like a stock install. It took me better part of a day to complete, but when I finally fired it up, WOW! Was I extremely surprised and very happy with my purchase! If you take your time and install everything correctly, there should be no reason why anyone would be disappointed with buying this system! Not only does it pack a lot of deep mind vibrating bass for only a Ten inch subwoofer, but the fact that you can power another four of your car stereo speakers with this all in one system really did it for me! I didn't go cheap on my head unit as it has all the bells and whistles plus it's a high power stereo so it sounded good just on it's own with my upgraded pioneer 6X8 speakers. But after hooking up this Lynx Audio system to my front and rear speakers, Holy S%#T!!! Did it wake up my whole system! I can crank the bass up all the way on the subwoofer and the volume on my stereo which goes to 64, with absolutely no loss in sound quality. There's no buzzing or crackling, just extremely loud, high quality crystal clear sound! I'm totally blown away by Lynx Audio and their very high quality systems. I really liked the fact that all the wiring had connectors on the ends that just plugged right into the amplifier without having to strip wire ends and insert each one individually into a metal slot that's exposed to the open and tightened down with a screw or torques fitting. It makes for a very nice and clean looking install. So far everyone I've showed this system too and let them hear for themselves are in complete Awe of it. I'm extremely happy that I finally took a chance on Lynx Audio and will happily back up any of their products. If something goes wrong or doesn't sound right with one of there systems that anyone has installed, then whoever did the installation did something wrong. I have had no issues so far and this unit just keeps on surprising me with just how damn good it sounds! Lynx Audio is some damn good quality equipment that deserves to be given full attention to!! Nuff Said!!

SAVAGE VALUE AND TOP QUALITY!! I challenge you to find ANYWHERE this: a complete subwoofer plus subwoofer amplifier plus hifi front and back speaker amplifiers plus a good enclosure of this quality completely assembled for this price. I doesn't exist except for this product!! No, it won't rattle the whole car or cars next to you BUT it WILL give you a good dose of solid, clean, PUMPING bass and will make your other speakers SING. If you don't have the cash for a separate, complicated, costly sound system but you want both good bass and great sound, THIS IS IT, DUDE/DUDETTE!! By the way, Lynx Audio is not a fly-by-night, sweatshop paradise of cheap products. No!! Check them on the Internet and you'll see that they are a worldwide company that also produces some VERY HIGH END sound products for recording studios, etc. It is my belief that's that how they can afford to pack SO much in this product for SO little. Hey, and get someone to install it right! Lynx Audio makes great products not miracles...

Alright, for those who are wondering if this is actually worth it. IT IS!!! Do not expect windshield shattering bass from this but for enough of a punch to let you know that its there, this is the all-in-one you are looking for. The one negative about this, in my opinion, is you HAVE to have the funky sub remote plugged in for the sub to work. Unknown to me if by using the high power input would alleviate that issue. The wiring harnesses are labeled so install should be easy enough for even a novice. If you are going to use it just for the sub initially, be sure to put the channel selector on 6 channel. Figure it simply like this... 2 channel = two speakers (NOT a subwoofer) 4 channel = two + two speakers 6 channel = two + two + another speaker (subwoofer)
