In or professional bakery we use color coded scoops with thumb levers for size differentiation. At home, I like these because they use a full grip to operate the lever. This is better for me since I have arthritic thumbs. I think this company originally made these as gelato scoops, but they are very heavy stainless steel and make excellent cookie scoops. Very comfortable to hold, and into the dishwasher for cleaning.
