The media could not be loaded.  I bought this for my grandfather (who just turned 102) after noticing he was still practicing on recycled newspapers (somethings he’s done all his life) but its been harder to see through it now. Thought it was about time he deserved some of the finer paper available and now through the magic of Amazon he now can and he loves it! My mom just sent me the video, says he Does three pages a day, so obviously had to order him another pack :). Seems to be good quality, we’re all very pleased.

works as intended for my kid's chinese calligraphy class. doesn't blot or bleed much. its paper...not much to say.

I started using this paper today when I finally had time to do some calligraphy and painting. The moment the brush touched the paper, it was smooth and the brush strokes were clear and not smudged. The paper is definitely suitable for practicing writing and painting. I painted some flowers and leaves and the picture looks wonderful. I would buy this again. I have bought unripe xuan paper, and because of the nature of the paper, the ink tends to spread, and it is not easy for practicing as a beginner. Same for painting purposes. I tried the ripe xuan paper, and it is pretty water-resistant, and it does not spread like the unripe xuan paper. I need to get the half ripe to try. However, after trying different types of paper, I still like this the most.

I’m using for watercolor collage, I like mixing papers up so you can’t tell how the watercolor will react,perfect.
