Putco 239005SW Pure Halogen Headlight Bulb - Ion Spark White - 9005 (Pair)

Purchased these lights and they just arrived today. HUGE upgrade from the stock OEM lights in the car! Lights are exactly what I was looking for in a bulb - extremely bright and gives off a slight blue tint to it, but it is mostly a white color. Definitely very happy with this purchase.***One thing I want to warn you that I had to learn the hard way is check your existing bulb plug in your car - in my case when you unplug the light connector from the existing bulb and look on the inside plug where the contacts connect to the bulb there is a single cut out in the middle and these bulbs have 2 cut outs on the inside which caused the lights to not plug...comparison seen here:[...]stock OEM bulb on right and Putco 9005 bulb cut out in middle.I was easily able to just file down the extra plastic and the new lights plugged in no problem. Other than that these lights are awesome, especially if you don't feel like going through the hassle of installing HIDs.

These are definately not rated at 6k... They worked with my Dodge Intrepid after I struggled to install them. Amazon said they were compatiable with my car, but I had to cut down the edges on the light so they would fit in the hole for the headlight. After I finally got them in after 10 minutes, they turned right on.To my surprise, they were nothing even close to "Nitro Blue". They might as well call these "Snow White" halogen headlights. Very white, not incredibly bright or powerful though. But what do you expect when spending 20-30$ on headlights. I say invest some money and buy some decent headlights.If your looking to invest some money in your 12 year old car, these will do to get rid of the dull, stock headlights. If you have a nice car, please don't buy these.

If you are looking for a blue color headlight this is not the headlight for you. The name of this product is misleading. It should be Hyperwhite Headlights. When you turn them on, they are more white then blue. I would say this headlight is around 4000-5500k hyperwhite light bulbs. It is still a good product, if you dont mind white. It is much brighter than the regular stock headlights and works great at night. Overall it is a good product other than the misleading sales name.

Pictured item does not match description. 239006 pictured (low beams - see the coated top of each bulb; the way I remember the difference between the high and low beams is the "tipped" bulbs are low). Fortunately, my high beams were old enough to justify replacement and these bulbs were more than sufficient for the task.

I read the reviews before buying and ordered against my better judgement. Definitely not blue, although they are similar to LED’s. The blue tint peels within a day of driving the vehicle. Just as bright as sylvanias or any other halogen bulb. They’re not consistent as in putting out and equal amount of light in front of you. Not impressed, but if you just need a white light go for it but don’t be fooled by the blue coloring they don’t even have a light blue coloring on the road.

Amazon incorrectly has these bulbs fitting my 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser. I was able to mash the fitting in to get it to work though, but it took quite a bit of doing. The bulbs are definitely better than the stock bulbs I've had in my car for the past 8 years.

If you're looking to upgrade that boring old yellowish halogen light color this bulb will do the trick. Not too blue and not too white. It's just perfect. As far as more light output being brighter that I can't say is true. It's the same wattage, 65w as the factory bulb. Maybe the color gives it a brighter appearance over the stock one..

I cannot speak to the quality of these lights. I used the Amazon compatibility checker found at the top when looking at this item. I put in my exact make and model of vehicle and received an affirmation the compatibility of these lights with my car (1999 BMW 323i 4D w/ Halogen ) but these lights are in fact NOT COMPATIBLE with my vehicle.Amazon also will deduct 5$ from my refund because the error was "not on their part". I could have checked the specs more I suppose but you would think the compatibility checker would be accurate. I have no opinion on the product, was excited to put them in my car until I figured out they were not compatible.

Good quality lights, but don't seem as bright as the Putco Ion Spark bulbs I replaced.
