It is large enough for sure and is very heavy since it is double sided but the picture looks almost nothing like the picture on the site. It is very diffused. If you brush the nap in the upper direction it looks a little better but not much. The beautiful butterflies shown on the site hang off the foot of the bed and can't be seen at all. I think they should have made the nap less full and the picture easier to see. It just doesn't look bright and pretty like it does on the site. It says it can be washed in a washer. I have a large size washer but doubt if this blanket can be washed in it. It is so heavy dry that I can't imagine what it weighs wet and I don't want to ruin my washer motor. A FEW MONTHS LATER - Now it is actually cold enough to use this blanket. I put it on the bed this morning and it looks better than I remembered but it is not as vibrant as the dog blanket I ordered at the same time. I've brushed the fabric different ways and sideways seems best but it still isn't as vibrant as the dog blanket or as it looks on the Amazon site. Only the middle cat face is really well visualized. It's a well made blanket (I will say, however, that within the first few washes (I don't know how many because I'm on the third and it's still doing it) the blanket will shed a good deal of little polyester fibers which is kind of annoying but not the end of the world), super soft, and fun looking.
