What a joke.
1 star for looking like the picture.This item is tiny (not a compliment). I received the product broken. The "blade" was cracked at the pivot point of the knife. When I opened the knife to check it out the blade fell out. The blade isn't sharp which is ok being new. I however doubt a practical ability to sharpen the blade without breaking it.Your better off having a rock and a utility blade glued together and call it survival gear.I go off of customer product ratings with my purchases. So I was suckered on this one.Who ever wrote the 5 star post must have received a different product because none of the capabilities mentioned would be possible with the product I got even if the blade didn't break.

Not so Good.
It was way too small and flimsy to be useful. The blade chipped on the first use. I suppose I was expecting something a bit more rugged.

Would recommend to others (But be aware of the size)
Pros:-unlike the other two, when I received my own it was in brand new condition, not chipped or broken. the blade is definitely sharp so ill give it that-and yes in the closed position it did work as a good striker AND scraper for my magnesium block.-it's small and will fit well on a keychain.Cons:-its ALOT smaller than I expected and what was advertised as, i knew it would be handheld but not infant handheld.Conclusion, I gave it 3 stars because of the size of the overall product, if it were beefed up about half an inch longer and quarter inch wider (which would still fit well on any keychain) Id order one for all of my Go-Bags. Overall blade was VERY sharp and did everything as advertised.Would definitely like to see a bigger version of this product that could still be considered keychain size

Perfect compliment for Firestarting Kit
I have this looped onto a piece of paracord with my fire steel rod and have started many fires with it as a striker. Works better than any other metal striker I've gotten from commercial kits.Even better, it's a razor sharp knife that will cut paracord, fishing line, and even kevlar.This little blade is small and versatile and imparts extra piece-of-mind knowing I always have an blade attached to my fire kit.You can never have enough knives, right?
