Review: Great product, Easy to put on my G3 Glock 26 without expensive tools and just the right amount of nighttime brightness. - Very Happy with this purchase! First off let me point out that the earlier reviews of these sights complain of the front screw being to long or otherwise for the gen 4 Glocks. Mine came with the proper screws for both the Gen3 and Gen4 use. The front sight fits slightly loose in the slide slot just as it should so you can make adjustments for proper alignment. I set mine straight with a small straight edge/ruler laying up against it and down the length of the slide BEFORE I put the rear sight on and it was very easy to line it up properly. The stock front sight screw was set further forward in the slide making use of a socket on the screw to remove it impossible because there was zero room between the front edges of the screw/bolt and the front of the slide. However, since the stock front sight is made of plastic the bolt is not really all that tight and I used a small set of needle nosed pliers to get mine loose with little trouble. The Truglo front sight has it's mounting bolt set back further towards the rear of the slide slot making use of a socket to tighten the bolt with my standard Craftsman 3/16" socket doable. Coat the cleaned bottom of the front sight with Loctite making sure you do not get any in the bolt hole and set the sight onto the slide. The bolt only needs the very smallest little dab of Loctite on the tip of the screw before inserting it. To much and it will never come out without breaking it. Snug the bolt slightly then align the sight then finish tightening the bolt. DO NOT over tighten! The Loctite on the sight will do a fine job of holding everything in place, the screw just needs to keep everything in place while the Loctite cures and moderate screw tension will keep the sight in place for years. My Factory rear sight was pretty easy to remove with a brass punch/hammer and the slide mounted in a bench vise. USE SOFT JAWS or wood or several layers of hard cardboard taped to the vise jaws in your vise if the jaws are serrated or you will get marks on the sides of you slide while tapping the new rear sight in. Check for fit. If the rear sight goes in almost half way with moderate tapping with a punch you should be able to install the rear sight. If it stops way before getting near halfway in STOP and remove the sight for fitting. Using a small triangle file gently take a few swipes on the sight dovetail on each side and recheck the fit. Repeat until the sight fit is proper. On final installation of the rear sight put a small drop of Loctite it the dovetail on the slide. Using a punch carefully tap the sight into place centering it as best as you can. I used a depth micrometer to center mine but you could also use a dial or digital caliper to check from each side of the slide and get the sight centered as best as you can. The set screw only needs the smallest amount of Loctite on it to hold it and for Heavens sake DO NOT over tighten it! The included Allen wrench with my kit was a slightly sloppy fit in the set screw. This could make the wrench and or set screw easy to damage if you over tighten it making it impossible to get apart later if needed. Remember, the fit in the dovetail is what is supposed to keep the sight in place, not necessarily the tension on the set screw. It is best to let the gun sit for several before hours shooting to let the Loctite cure properly. In the end, I am very happy with this set of sights on my Glock 26! After centering the rear sight on my slide it needed no further adjustments for my shooting. As a side note I left my slide on my bedroom night stand the day I installed the sights so the Loctite could cure someplace warm instead of my cold garage. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Tritium vials glowing in the dark when I turned in to bed that night! Not super bright (which is really not good) but plenty bright enough for night time social use! Thanks for taking the time to read through my lengthy post and I hope this helps someone with their decision to purchase or the installation of these sights! Enjoy...
Review: Terrific Sight Set for my Glock 30 - I love these sights! - I bought this TRUGLO TFO Sight Set for my Gen 3 Glock 30 .45acp. The factory sights were just 2 White Dot rear, and White Dot front sights, that are near impossible to see in low light or darkness. Since this G30 is my daily Concealed Carry weapon, I want to actually be able to see the gun and sights if I need to use it in night situations. The factory front sight was pretty easy to remove, but the rear sight required a sight push tool to remove it. I bought a tool from Sylvan arms, here at desertcart, and removal was amazingly simple. When I removed the front sight, I added a small drop of oil to keep the area under the screw free from corrosion. Then just lined up the sight with the hole and tapped it with a small wrench to seat it in place. Getting the new (included) screw in, was difficult because of the size. It is a tiny screw, so just used a pair of needle nose pliers and a lighted magnifier to line it up and get it started in the threads. I used my tool to tighten the front sight, and it fits perfectly. TRUGLO says not to use a sight push tool to install the rear sight but how else can you install it. It is extremely tight in the dovetail. I used the Sylvan sight pusher and just took my time, while making sure that I didn't turn the pusher too fast. I will say, that if you take your time and make sure that your sight pusher lines up at the base of the sight in the dovetail, that you will have no issues. I guess that TRUGLO wants to make sure that you don't crack the Fiber Optic section of the sight. Again, just make sure that your pusher contacts the sight at the lowest point in the dovetail. You will be just fine. The Fiber Optic is very bright and the Tritium glows brightly, even in total darkness. This sight set is AMAZING!! It is a little on the expensive side, but I wanted both FO and Tritium in my sights. I got the set with the yellow rear and green front. I wanted to be able to distinguish both the front and rear sight easily. That's why I didn't want the all green set. If you purchase this sight set, I think that you will be Totally Satisfied, as I am, with the quality and brightness. Tomorrow, I go to the shooting range to sight in the pistol and I expect to enjoy shooting with the new sights and to have no issues.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What can be done if the front sight moves side-to-side?**
A: The front sight comes with a short screw, and a screw that's a tad bit longer. I also have a gen4 g19. I tried the longer screw first and it bottomed out, so I had to use the shorter (correct) screw and everything tightened up just fine. No side to side movement so, not sure why you're having problems since we both have the same exact gun, same exact sights. Maybe you didn't notice that this sight comes with 2 different length screws for the front sight??

**Q: are these night sights**
A: Yes they glow green at night just as bright green as the fiberoptics do during the day. The night sights are placed in the back of the green fiberoptics. you will be surprised at the brightness of this sight day and night. I Love Mine and would not trade them for any other sight.

**Q: It states that there is a black option and a green option for these sights. What does it mean by Black sights?**
A: Rear sight will be black , front will still have tritium sight.

**Q: Can I install it on my G21 and G22 gen4 without any modification?**
A: The Glock G21 is a large frame gun and the G22 is a small frame Glock pistol, The G21 has a slightly wider slide and longer magazine well to accomidate the longer 10mm & 45acp cartridges, but the dovetail in the slide and the slot for the front sight are identical allowing the small frame and large frame Gen 1 through Gen 4 Glocks to share common sights. The current Glock rear sight tool will change sights on all small and large receiver (frame) guns as will the front sight tool. I have changed sights on both small and large frame Glocks.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Glock easy to install.very bright sights.great quality
*by C***R on August 9, 2012*

Bright fiber optic sights are complemented with the Tritium glow cells under the fiber optic rods. Very bright day or night. The sights get brighter in daylight due to the fiber optic design.....light is gathered better and display very nicely. The sights were not too difficult to install. I don't have a sighht press so with gentle solid tapping the rear sight into place with a rubber mallet and hardwood and in it went, slowly but surely. (be sure to disassemble down to the gun slide only and brace the slide in a padded vise) The front sight I had to remove the very small hex screw under the front sight with, not recommended but it worked, a pair of good and medium to small sized needle nosed pliers. It will slightly scar the hex screw but being careful it was removed and reinstalled along with a drop of Shoe-Goo adhesive on the threads and along the sights base but remove any excess quickly with a toothpic and a piece of gun cleaning patch ot sliver of a tee shirt., I had no Loctite or any superglue. Shoe-Goo works for many many things and as good as duct tape when doing odd jobs..LOL NOTE: if using needle nose pliers, be very careful not to pinch your fingers...it hurts if they slip. I know it is recommended to use a gunsmith for sight installations but I'm a do it yourselfer type. Anyways, I also coated the rear sights dovetail with light gun oil to help it along as it wouldn't go in after the first couple millimeters and excessive hard tapping can damage the sight. I also so very slightly removed a very minimal amount of the dovetail on the rear sight itself and I mean very minimal just enough so the dovetail would seat deeper in the first few millimeters allowing for a sturdy solid tap without the fear of it slipping in the wrong direction. This is not my first Glock install, my other Glock sights look great and the sights stay intact. As mentioned earlier, be sure to thread loc the front sight with some Loctite or a drop of superglue or even a dab of Shoe-Goo spread fine with a toothpic and install the small screw into the sight base pretty quick before any of the compounds begin to set up. I highly recommend the TFO sights for all. Now a Crimson Trace or LaserMax laser sight to complete this Glock 26 and my work is done.
