Traveling with him quickly became a nightmare because he was used to sitting on my lap, but that isn't possible with his injury. I could not use a doggie harness : seatbelt or booster seat because if I stopped short, the pulling on his spine could be catastrophic, but a crate would allow him to slide around - not good! The seat is so comfy, even my incredibly opinionated dog quickly transitioned to being a big boy and sitting in his own seat. I love that even without clipping him into the seat (though I do recommend it!) he doesn't move, bounce or slide. It's exactly what I was looking for and never thought I'd find! It is a little difficult to remember how to put it back in the seat, so keep the instructions handy! Also, I have a two door car with "sports seats" and the fit isn't quite as perfect as it could be with a sedan.... The only comment I have is that it's hard to find a harness that hooks on the bottom of the harness - which would make movement on the carrier easier for Mia. OR I would have PupSaver sell harnesses that clip on the bottom in different sizes, available. Also, it may be confusing to set up on the first try - since there is a lot of buckles - but once you get used to it - it's very easy to install and dismantle.
