Reduces finger joint mobility so finger has time to heal.
I have self diagnosed ;) trigger finger in my thumb. It was extremely painful anytime I bent my thumb and it was waking me up several times a night. I started by using a bulky thumb brace and graduated to just bandaging my thumb before I found this item. The BraceOn EZ finger splint provided relief as soon as I put it on and was extremely easy to use. I was able to continue going about my day with very little discomfort in my thumb. I wore it 24/7 for the first 5 weeks after I received it. About a week ago I started taking it off of my thumb for a few minutes at a time throughout the day until I felt like I needed to put it back on. Yesterday and today I’ve been able to leave it off most of the day with minimal pain in my thumb. My thumb is not 100% yet and I’m still careful with movements that require using it to tighten things, but it is significantly better. I plan on wearing for as long as I need to because it is just no big deal.PROS: Its very comfortable, I forget that I am wearing it most of the time.Unlike bandages or splints you can leave it on all of the time without worrying about it getting wet or dirty. You can easily change its position on your finger simply by turning it.It does was a bulky brace or splint does but is much more comfortable and far less obtrusive. It successfully immobilized my thumb joint so that my ‘trigger finger’ had time to heal.CONS: The cost is a con if you are thinking about it in terms of what you get. But if you think of it in terms of what it does, it’s probably worth even more money.TIP: If you decide to take it off of your hurt finger for awhile just slide it onto another finger, like a ring (I use my middle finger). That way you won’t misplace it, it’s barely noticeable and it will be readily available if you want to slide it back on to your hurt finger.

Perfect.
This product is perfect... it's slim so I can still wear gloves. I can wash my hands and shower with it (fabric versions that I tried would need to be washed and wait to dry).... plus I can wash the splint often to keep it clean (I walk my dog often; fabric versions again need time to dry, or removed often to wash hands). It's short so only supports one of the 2 two joints on my finger... which is perfect because it still allows to me bend the other joint. The thin construction and provision to bend my other join ALLOWS ME TO STILL TYPE on my computer!!!... fabric splints I have are thick and makes me press the wrong keys all the time.I thought the cost was high initially, but if you get the fabric versions you would need several if you do a lot of washing and worry about getting them wet. This also assumes that you need to have a splint on your finger all the time.Sizing guidance needed; however, one of the reviews below (by a female with small hands) helped me choose package 4,5,6 and turned out 5 was perfect for my middle finger. (I'm 5 ft; 125 lb.)

Love These, Very Helpful
First, I recommend you buy the returnable sizing kit. It comes with maybe 50 pieces (I can't remember anymore) that you can use to figure out what sizes you need for each finger. And I do suggest sizing even the fingers that may not need a splint right now, JIC you might need them some day. I wear these due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) -- my joints hyperextend (I also wear elbow & knee braces; have osteoarthritis). They keep my fingers from painfully bending backwards. Initially I only needed 2 on one hand & 3 on the other, but the pain in the other joints has increased. Some of these splints can be purchased singly while others come in 3-packs. I have painted my splints (nail polish) so I can immediately tell which splint goes on in which direction, which hand & which finger (since these little bad boys do have a front & back, 1 side being a scooch tighter than the other). They all do have the number size pressed into the plastic, but being so incredibly tiny & the same color as the plastic, it's really hard to see (for me). I removed a star from "Easy to use" because of the hard-to-see numbers, plus I feel they could do to add an arrow or something, so those that actually can see the super tiny numbers can also tell which direction is which. I removed a star from the overall rating because I feel they could offer a variety of skin tones for those that don't want these TOO noticeable -- seriously, if you're not pale & white, these will REALLY stick out. I, personally, don't care if they're noticeable (heck, they're painted!) because between the enormous leg & elbow braces, I already look half robot. I would highly, highly recommend these to anyone having trouble with joint-bending pain. They can also be worn so your fingers won't bend FORWARD (whereas my issue is them bending backward). I don't wear them when I sleep, & they are a teensy bit hard to get on in the morning due to joint swelling (I get my fingers wet to slide them on), but I pretty much put them on when I wake up & take them off when I go to bed. They do, unfortunately, slide off in the water, so I can't wear them in the shower or while cooking or doing dishes (too bad, those activities are painful). But they're with me for everything else.

Good product, but sizing is frustrating.
This is the style and brand that I wanted, but the fact that you have to buy 3 at a time for a significant price and hope that you measured correctly to get at least one of the right size is very frustrating and I hesitated to order them for quite a while. As it turned out, the smallest one in the set does fit almost correctly, but I probably could have used the next smallest size. To get one it appears that I have to order another set of three that includes it, and I do not plan to do that any time soon. That said, the style is the best available for finger issues such as mine.
