Review: Best boots I have purchased - These are by far the best boots I have purchased thus far and I have gone through plenty of other brand name boots. I love, love, love how light weight these boots are and how amazing they feel on my feet. When people at work ask me about my boots I always compare them to using Pirelli tires on a sports car. Light weight, no slip, aggressive, long lasting and best of all waterproof. It doesn't get much better than that. I use these boots 5 days a week 10 hours a shift in the harshest conditions on the border of South Texas. The summers here are killer hot and humid. I tend to sweat alot from my feet and these boots keep my feet cooler and drier than any other boot I've tried. During Winter it's very wet, muddy and the terrain is very challenging at times but I have no problem going through it all with these boots due to them being waterproof and the tread being non slip vibram material. My previous pair of these Danner Tachyon GTX boots lasted me a year before I bought these which is actually amazing considering how much abuse they went through. I did not treat my last pair with any type of leather preserver, just an ocassional kiwi boot shine. I noticed after a while that the boots in the crease that develops in the toe portion from walking cracked a small bit and the toe separated from the sole on the front a little. I was able to repair the front with super glue but was unable to fix the cracking from the side which eventually allowed water to leak into the boot. This time around I treated the leather with sno seal and so far so good. Hopefully this will prevent the cracking a year from now. Overall, these are great boots for any type of hardcore hiking or trekking. If your looking for a light weight alternative to your danner Acadia or Fort Lewis duty boot, you have to give these a try.
Review: I will say that these boots are very light weight and feel like a minimalist running shoe - I have been using these boots since January 2nd. I wore them for four months in the academy and I have been wearing them on duty for the past six months on Duty during my twelve hour shifts. I will say that these boots are very light weight and feel like a minimalist running shoe. They have a wide toebox which prevents any kind of chafing after wearing them all day long. They cup the heel of your foot nicely and even though the boot has a wide toebox, your foot will not slide around inside of the boot when you're running, walking or climbing. They are extremely waterproof and you will never have to worry about wet feet unless you submerge the tops of the boots. I have submerged my feet in these boots up to the lower part of my shin without any water seeping in. Down here in Florida that means alot to me and is worth its weight in gold. The boot itself due to the goretex is a little on the warm side and being leather, when the sun beats down on your toes you're going to feel it but its not overly uncomfortable. The only downside to the boot is that the soles in the area of the ball of my foot are almost bald. I would have hoped to have more tread after less than a year of wear. Granted, I wear these quite a bit so I cant really complain. I would also be curious to see how well a pair of these would hold up minus all of the drill and ceremony i did in the academy which involved quite a bit of pivoting on concrete. I thoroughly recommend these boots and give them five stars. They are the most comfortable boots i have ever owned.

These are by far the best boots I have purchased thus far and I have gone through plenty of other brand name boots. I love, love, love how light weight these boots are and how amazing they feel on my feet. When people at work ask me about my boots I always compare them to using Pirelli tires on a sports car. Light weight, no slip, aggressive, long lasting and best of all waterproof. It doesn't get much better than that.
