A pretty good HDMI switch!
My setup at my desk is alright. It's not the best, but it's not the worst. I have this decent TV that I used to use as my main computer monitor when I first got my desktop, but after a few years, I decided to get an actual computer monitor. Now I had a dedicated monitor for my computer and a TV I could use for my console games, but also as a second monitor. Long story short, I lost my TV remote and switching inputs with the buttons was an absolute pain, so I got this HDMI switch. It's fantastic. I love it. It has truly made the whole process so easy. I'm a big gamer. I play PC more often now, but I grew up playing console games, so I still like to play my consoles from time to time. Thanks to this HDMI switch, I can easily switch my TV from my computer to my console. It's fast, there's no input delay, and if there is, it's not noticeable (trust me, I'm a fighting game player). The remote is nice and convenient if I had to hide the HDMI switch, but it works on IR, so it would still have to have the IR sensor visible. My desk is already a mess, so I just have it sitting right in front of me, ready for me to push the button to switch inputs. The HDMI switch will switch inputs automatically if it senses power from a different HDMI cord. This is neat, especially since it means you don't have to use the AC adapter if one of your devices is a console or PC, but I could see how it could be annoying. Personally, I enjoy the feature since I typically want to use the device I turn on and having the HDMI switch automatically switch over is good. Also, once the HDMI switch changes my TV's input from my PC to one of my consoles, Windows will recognize that the second display has been disconnected and go back to single monitor mode. Overall, I recommend this HDMI switch to anyone who is like me and has one foot in PC and the other foot in consoles.

Nice little hdmi switcher thingy!
Works exactly as expected... well almost exactly as expected, as I discovered that hdmi seemingly provides enough power to not need the microUSB power supply. So it was a surprise that made this hdmi switcher actually exceed my expectations! The remote is incredibly simple and performs more or less as I expected. Batteries are not provided, but at this price I'm not sure how anyone can expect batteries as well. I didn't realize that there was a power button on the remote, but it's a nice feature. The one thing that is a little annoying is that it auto switches upon detection of a new signal from a non-active device. That is easy enough to manage while watching something, but I fell asleep on top of my Google TV remote and kept awakening to the TV being on. So the power on/off ability came in handy until I figured out that the remote was under my pillow. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ In any case, this is a very simple device that does exactly what it claims to do. If you need an hdmi switcher and don't need anything fancy, this may be the right one for you!

Just what I wanted!
AMENDED REVIEW: [see bottom] I bought a non-powered manual one when I added a ROKU to my system. But it was always a pain at night to switch off streaming to regular sat I had to get up and go to the set and punch a button. THIS IS GREAT... I can do the manual button thing, but having the remote is WONDERFUL! The remote is kinda "chintzie" (i.e. cheap) uses 2 AAA batteries and works well enough at a distance of 10-12 ft. The switcher is powered thru a USB cord BUT THIS DOESN'T COME WITH THE USB POWER ADAPTER, I had to scavenge my devices and find one to use, then order one separately on Amazon. Now that I have used it for 18 hours I have found a draw back...anomaly? deficiency. I'll be watching something and suddenly it will shut down the signal and screen goes blank. It's happened 4 times now thrice on Directv input and once on Roku input. It doesnt like the HDMI input from my computer but I haven't reset the PC to split the signal to two monitors. I will try and change the sequence of the inputs and see it that makes a difference. And I will try once without input from PC as I don;t use that often and can get by. But having this shut down is a serious DRAWBACK. Instructions say something about it seeking an active signal but I believe IF I am tuned in and watching that IS an active signal. I will come back with more results.

Buy it- works great- much more solid in shifting than my old ZettaGuard and half the price.
I have a fairly complex system to feed my 2 HDMI input TV and projector through a sound bar. I have three HDMI inputs (Roku, DVR and Bluray) through the SEGYR and one of the HDMI inputs, The other has two inputs but through a simple HDMI switcher. All are controlled through my Harmony remote. I had a ZettaGuard 4x1 switch. Bought it becasue it was one of the "best" switchers on the market. I found, with it, I often has to switch inputs to get it to the correct input. It was a pain but I thought that must be fine since it was so highly rated. Recently, thank God, it died completely. I tried to call the company and learned, as most all who own a zettaguard have, that there is no customer service. So I bought this thinking that it would not matter if it failed in a year + as the ZGuard since it was half the price. I am glad I did. As noted by many, the SEGYR is not fast, maybe about a second or two slower that the ZG, but it is rock solid. It goes right to the correct setup every time. I am very happy that I made the decision to buy it and strongly recommend it.

Great switches, very reliable company. Thanks!
Kind of disappointed, it came with no power supply, no hdmi cable, no batteries. The only cable in a box is a micro USB. It is extremely unusual unless it has been returned and came without full set. It works, yes, but not out of the box, you need additional items to get it working. Another negative point - there is no way to disable auto port search. In most cases it is convenient, while sometimes it is very undesirable, it switches from the active screen while you don't need that and you need to push it back to your active machine. What the most annoying is - when your laptop computer is active it "knows" about second screen and works correctly, you can move some applications to the second screen and enjoy working. But once it switches to another computer, often by itself if another connected device boots up or gets connected, the second screen "disconnects" from the first computer and the apps, that have been previously moved to the second screen, get stack on the primary screen. Once the same laptop becomes active you need to rearrange all apps again by moving them to the second screen. It is very unproductive and very irritating. ***************************** Update after over a week. The company is very reliable and stays behind its product. I got all missing parts, that was awesome! After spending a week working with this switch I was able to test its convenience and like it more and more. There are 1 or 2 things I'd design differently, but they are not critical and I can live with it. Thanks for the great product! I'd buy again with no doubt and will recommend to all my friends.

does the job, no frills..but started failing after a month
****Update**** Darn, should have waited to do the review. As it turns out, just past the return window and the 4k video from the Firestick seems to have issues when ran through this switcher. Luckily I had an extra hdmi port in the back of the tv. I didnโt want to have to unmount the tv to access it which is why the switcher was so great. Well, guess Iโm in the market for another switcher. Should you buy...answer is now No. :( ****Original**** Purchase to replace a 5 yr old hdmi splitter which couldn't handle a 4K signal from an Amazon Fire Stick and a standard signal from a Nintendo Switch both existing on the same splitter. This splitter appears to allow both types of signals on the same splitter, so in this respect, it get's the job done...but to be more informative, here is the rest of my review. The splitter shipped with a micro USB cable. It is only 3 ft. long so placement may be limited. In addition, though some reviewers state they received a wall plug, mine did not come with one. In order to find the appropriate voltage, please consult the manual included with the splitter. I used an extra iphone plug I had laying around and the input and output requirements match the documentation. The splitter is pretty standard. Looks almost exactly like my 5 yr old splitter which was no frills as well. The top source select button has a nice click and feel. Both manual and auto source switching seem to function as expected. As for the out put, there does seem to be a bit of a delay with the audio, but maybe I'm too picky because my wife didn't notice it till I mentioned the delay. Similar to my old splitter, the metal case makes it extremely heavy. In addition, the metal case also allows it to slide all over so some grippy feet would be useful (hint maybe add that to the production line). All in all, it works. No issue as of yet. So should you buy..I'd say Yes, assuming this unit holds up.

Works with some issues....
I just replaced my old satellite receiver which uses an HDMI output instead of the composite video/audio connections to the TV. My TV only has two HDMI inputs but I now have three HDMI output devices so I needed this switch. Overall it works well and I haven't noticed any degradation of the video quality introduced by this switch. However I have a couple of issues with this switch. Number one, as other reviewers have said the power indicator light could blind a bat in a darkened room. Electrical tape over the light fixed that. Number two, I discovered that the remote control codes conflict with the volume up/down remote control for my satellite box. Pressing either up or down causes this thing to switch inputs. Also the home button on my Roku remote control causes this unit to switch to input #2. I had to resort to the aforementioned electrical tape trick over the IR sensor to prevent that behavior from occurring. I simply use the manual pushbutton to switch inputs. At least that's one less remote control to have to juggle. These flaws are not a showstopper for me but it does make me wonder about the quality of the overall design.

Automatically senses activity on any source and routes it to the TV
This is awesome, and I love how it works. When I first connected it in my system and powered it up, I tried to turn it on and change the selected HDMI, but there was no response at all, and I was ready to send it back. But I figured I should at least turn on the TV and a source to see if the united needed to be connected for some reason. Well I was delighted when I turned my TV to HDMI, and then turned on my Nintendo Switch - boom automatically the light lit and the signal went to the TV. Then I turned off the Nintendo, and boo, the system turned off, then I switched on the Play station and boom, the next light lit and the signal was routed to the tv! So then I turned them both on, and the last one coming on was routed to the TV. Then I grabbed the Remote, and I was able to turn the system off, or switch from one input to the other. Normally, you do not even need to use the Remote, but just in case you need it, it is there. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy solution to too many wires to plug into the back of your tv set.

I only had one output from my TV , multiple inputs of hdmi needed. Wireless remote
You can toggle between two to up to three devices . The only complaint is that there are no real obstructions .

You had one jobโฆ
About 4 months old. Now at random intervals it sends the instruction to my tv to turn off. Doesnโt matter what device is selected. Annoying during a show or movie, anger-inducing while on the Xbox. Online help is useless. Would not recommend.
