Normally wearable parts and products are NOT covered under this warranty. Best Customer Service
Dynabrade has a lifetime warranty on their products. Anything that fails because of their manufacturing or parts they warranty. Obviously you can't run it over or never oil it and expect them to replace or repair your tool. I bought my Orbital Sander and used it everyday in a body shop for over a year when it started to make a whining sound. I called them and they told me where to send it. It was warrantied with zero questions asked and back to me in no time at all. I wanted to send it a smaller box so i shipped it with out the backing plate and when it showed up at my door it had a brand new backing plate on it. Thank you Dynabrade. Great Products and service.

Speed knob in the way
I regret this purchase. I used to use a lower line dynabrade and wanted to upgrade to this one since I am getting older and wanted a sander with less vibration.I don't really notice a vibration difference between this and my other sander. However, the knob to adjust the sander speed is placed in the most inconvenient place. I constantly hit it when I pick the sander up to use it or to change sand paper. It is also very loose, so loose that just barely grazing it means you have changed the speed.Imagine having to adjust the speed every time you change sandpaper. It's frustrating. I'll be using it to de nib clear coat and change the sandpaper and unknowingly hit the button. When I proceed to continue, the sander is going at like mach 5. So now I have to adjust the speed every time I do anything or risk ruining a fresh paint job. It's an impediment to productionI really wish I had bought a different sander. I hate this thing.

Bearings failing after 2months of daily use.
I've done professional autobody paint/prep for 15 years and have used dynabrade 3/8in orbit sanders since the beginning. I've always had the light weight plastic units and have gotten 3-5 years of daily use out of them before the bearings failed. I decided to try their "heavy duty" metal unit and the bearings have been hitting that weird harmonic tone when edge pressure is applied to the disc, this is the beginning of bearing failure. I know dynabrade doesn't offer any warranty service with industrial use applications so I'm just posting this to let others know that I didn't get anything (other than a much heavier unit) out of switching from a lightweight unit to a metal unit. Take it for what its worth to you .
