It makes it easier to manipulate it while you are working on it. What I do not like is that it does not completely lock into place in the female socket. It simply is not a tight fit so It doesn’t Work for me. It’s loose and loses its connection. ### ⭐⭐ It works, but watch the unstandard pinout *by S***T on February 9, 2021* It works great after you realize the pin out on these is a little strange. It's not the normal RJ45 pins 1 through 8 in order, like every other terminal strip to RJ45 adapter I've come across. See picture for the actual pinout.
