Most inspiring, true stories of healing. But a word of caution.
101 inspiring stories of amazing healings at the medicineless qigong hospital in China (which has since closed down). An easy, quick read. Most cases are retold in one side of a page. This book will be an inspiration to many, especially those who are seeking healing through the school of Zhineng (Wisdom Healing) Qigong represented here. The latter is available, for example, through Master Mingtong Gu who offers online and in-person instruction out of his Santa Fe, New Mexico center. The appendix even spells out the foundational practice "Lift Chi Up, Pour Chi Down".But I have only one residual doubt. The anecdotal reports show us only those who succeeded fully in their mission of self-healing. Many of these made heroic efforts, practicing night and day. Allegedly an astonishing 95% of patients received "effective healing," ranging from "noticeable improvement" to "complete cure." I wonder about the minority who declined and got worse. Did some of these even injure themselves through the exercises, which can sometimes be strenuous and a bit risky. For example, my wife warned me that "wall squats" can damage the knees if not performed correctly. Likewise, I found that my left knee was hurting after performing the toed-in posture of what in the USA is called the "standing meditation." So I urge that you to proceed with suitable caution and do not push yourself too hard. Exposed to these "miracles," some of us might become too ambitious for our own good!

Inspiring and Informative
The media could not be loaded. I had a wonderful time reading this book as I practiced Zhineng Qigong. It contains 101 personal accounts of the miraculous healings of Qigong. The pages are black and white, no color imagery. In the back of the book, there are photographic illustrations of the Qigong exercises as answers to questions that you may have. The author, Luke Chan has a Youtube channel, simply type in "Luke Chan qigong" in the search box and you should find him. Dr. Pang Ming also has books on Amazon which are very informative and these books teach you the techniques of Zhineng Qigong.

Yes, miracles do happen!
There once was a hospital in China that was the last ditch hope for those turned away by conventional medical professionals. The book focuses on many stories of healing, some that will bring tears to your eyes. The practitioners and "students" (not "patients") work together using qi gong (a form of energy healing) to treat illnesses that nothing else will help. Truly inspiring.

Valuable Book & Good Service from the Seller
1. Book arrived promptly and in good condition.2. This is not a slick "professional" book, but it is valuable because it is a unique look at large scale qigong healing in China. Yes, people are healed of serious diseases by learning and practicing "energy" exercises, especially in dedicated group settings. This book helps understand why qigong is so slippery to Western scientific investigation. In ways we can't well explain attitude and social dynamics in the regular practice of simple exercises produce results that Western medicine cannot duplicate with biological interventions.

101 miracle healings
This is a book about Chi Gong, a form of exercise and how it was used to heal 100 different people in China. It is basically 100 different life stories about 100 Chinese who went to a "Chi Gong hospital" in China to have incurable diseases cured without meds and surgery.

Inspirational!
I practiced Qi Gong using the DVD that goes with the book and read one story a day for the 101 days. It was inspirational and gives you hope. Great book. Great DVD.

Pure Propaganda
I bought this book because it was listed in the bibliography of the truly wonderful "Heal Yourself with Qigong: Gentle Practices to Increase Energy, Restore Health, and Relax the Mind," by Suzanne Friedman. This book, however, is simply an infomercial for how a number of adherents received miraculous healing from this particular practitioner with almost no information on how these results were achieved. For me this is a disappointing waste of time.I'm not sure why Ms. Friedman was so enamored of this book. I believe she was doing battle with cancer - a disease to which she eventually succumbed. Perhaps in her darkest hours she found inspiration in these tales of healing? Before she died, however, she did write an exceptional book on practicing qigong, so if you are looking for a great book on actually learning and practicing Qigong, "Heal Yourself with Qigong" is terrific.
