I bought this clay after a friend shared some with me. We had used it on our faces and hair during a trip to the Korean bath house, and I was super impressed, so I bought Molivera Organics Bentonite Clay and THE BEST Dead Sea Mud Mask by Pure Body Naturals to compare and see if there was any difference. The bentonite clay is a powder that can be mixed with either apple cider vinegar or water to make a paste. It can be used on hair or face. The Dead Sea mud is already premixed. Both smell fine, but if you mix bentonite clay with vinegar, it can burn your nostrils. I mixed with apple cider vinegar for this test. Smeared each mud on half my face. Comparison impressions: Dead Sea Clay is faster to go on because it's ready mixed. It's smooth and creamy. It left my skin cleansed but not overdry. Some oils were left on my skin after using the clay. This jar is smaller than the Bentonite mask. Bentonite clay mixed with vinegar -- the smell was nearly overpowering! I don't think I will do that again, as you can see in the picture that my face actually swelled under that mixture. Those people seeing firmness after using the clay may not be seeing actual firming, but swelling instead. This clay stripped my skin of all oils. ALL. Both sides of my face felt smooth after the test, but you can see that the Bentonite side was swollen. Both masks are good options, with Bentonite being the cheaper version, and Dead Sea Mud more convenient. I won't be doing the apple cider vinegar mixture again due to the swelling, so now you know not to as well.

I am in my early fifties and I look good for my age, but I have recently started to notice that my skin may be starting to show signs of my age. I did some research on things I can do for skin that is starting to sag; I came across this and I am so glad that I did. My skin now looks better than it did when I was in my 30’s. I only wish I had found this earlier in life. This mask is amazing. You can actually feel the mask tighten and tingle on your face. I believe you can actually feel it tightening your pores as it dries (that’s the tingling feeling). It does everything it says it will. I saw a difference only my first use. I had started to notice my skin feeling a little loose at the corner of my eyes and around my jaw line. After one use my skin felt tighter and looked younger. I was amazed. I also feel like it gives me a really nice glow. The mask pulls blood to your face. Your face will be a little red for the first 15 mins. or so, but once that passes, I have a youthful glow. My face looks more awake and young. I had some rough spots on the top of my cheeks. Now that area looks and feels so soft. This product did much more for my skin than I anticipated it would. The more I use it, the better my skin is looking and feeling. It is literally reversing my aging and I couldn’t be more excited as I am watching my face transform. I love this product and I definitely recommend that

It leaves your skin soft, clears and tightens pores. Great product. Update: Now that we have used it several times, I can give a better review of the product. First off, when I received the bentonite clay it came in allotted time period it suppose to. The shipment box was clean and unbroken with adequate packing material to prevent cracking the container. The container itself looks just like the picture in description. The inside of the plastic was sealed and fresh looking. The clay itself is a fine grey powdery consistency with little smell. If you have looked up anything before your purchase of this product you may have run across how to use it and some experts (as in the earth diet) have mentioned that you should not use metal anything when setting up the clay use, as it will absorb into the clay and pull out the metals for purification, which here in my house we follow for the best drawing out of toxins without the contamination. As for our use at home, my daughter mixes it with apple cider vinegar to create a mask, leaves it on for 20 mins and rinses off with hot water. She has stated it does create a tingly feeling as it dries (as is normal). When she's completed the process her face is glowing. I, on the otherhand, have very sensitive skin and have to cut my time down to 5 minutes, it's not as easy to spread if you don't mix well to get the clumps out. I also use water instead of apple cider vinegar. When I am done, my face feels tighter and looks red. As a few minutes pass, the redness fades leaving soft skin. I then use an organic moisturizer to complete the process. As I stated in the beginning of the review, I really feel this is great organic, no gmo product and will continue purchasing in the future.

Using any bentonite clay. So, I can't compare it to others. I like that it's made in USA at an FDA approved facility. I looked up a DIY recipe on line for skin and hair. Basically 1 tbsp of bentonite clay, 1tbsp of ACV and a carrier oil of choice. I used coconut oil and castor oil. I also added charcoal. This mixture was enough for face, pits and feet cleaning and detox. I used a large make up brush to apply. My face looks so clean and pores are smaller on my nose. My skin was a bit pink afterwards, just on my face. It could have been because I used castor oil though. The jury is still out on it's detoxifying powers for feet and pits.

I used this fantastic 100% Pure Bentonite Clay today on my face. I had a very enlarged white head on the side of my nose that I have been trying to get rid of for weeks now. I steamed my face over a hot pot of water to open my pores, then I applied a thin even layer to my whole face... not the eye region or the upper lips/lip region. It is too strong to apply anywhere close to your eyes or mouth. You will feel it pulling your skin. I felt it pulling and hardening onto my face and I even smelled the clay. This is the first time I felt like I had real organic clay to treat my acne. I left it on for 15 minutes and washed it off with a muslim cloth with warm to hot water. Do not rub it off... just gently press wet muslim cloth on face and it will all come off. Then I washed with cool water to close my pores. Well, I noticed that the enlarged whitehead/ pimple growth that I had on my nose was reduced so small that I can't even see it anymore. I plan to use this clay once a week to start off ... because it is very strong and drying. If you are fair and have sensitive skin...your face might be red when the clay is washed off. But it works and I will use it once a week until my face is clear. It is so detoxifying ....IT is the best mask for my face I have ever used. I will try it on my hair soon, which is extremely thick and straight... I will also make a toothpaste with it. Very happy with these results! God bless xx

Was skeptical at first, turns out it was for no reason. This product makes a little mess at the end of a bath, but it's definitely worth it. Skin and hair feel amazing after use. I will be purchasing again.

I am digging my newly-found love of using homemade, natural products on my face and body. This clay IS AMAZING! I even used it to detox my arm pits to help my homemade deodorant work better (which worked beautifully). I do add a drop or 2 of rosehip seed oil to the mix of clay & ACV to benefit the facial experience. I also used this wonderful product on my pre-teen daughter is already suffering from acne, poor dear. I had her wash her face, scrub gently with baking soda, then smeared the clay & ACV on her face. She had a very large pimple on the side of her cheek and an an oily T-zone. The next morning the pimple was gone! And he nose looked so much better! We were both thrilled! A little bit goes a long way. The 1st time I mixed this together, I made way too much and it didn't mix well. I have since learned how to make it into the perfect mask consistency. I use a small glass dish and a plastic fork to mix the clay, ACV & oil, as you are not to use any metal items. The ACV smell is overwhelming to my eye balls, though. When my friend and I did facials for chick night, tears were running down her cheeks the whole 15 minutes she had the mask on. You can use just water, but the ACV helps balance your pH. My skin has never felt so soft or been so blemish free since I turned 12! And I am 38 now (don't tell anyone). After I wash the mask off, I add argan & vitamin E oil with lavender to my face. It's fabulous!!

I can say that this stuff will suck the flesh right through your pores. No kidding. At a certain point during the drying, my face gets this really weird feeling.. I can't even describe it, but it's soooo tight. It's not a tingle, more like a suction that almost makes your face feel like it's being sucked off. It almost feels like your skin is humming. If I happen to have picked at my face (bad me!) and I use this, it evens out my skin and makes it smooth again right away, no lumps. I can't say that it has prevented blackheads or reduce pores and because I did buy it for that reason, I am giving it 3 stars. However, I don't dislike it~ I do I like the way my skin feels and looks after using it. I know that it has pulled out any toxins that are on the surface, and some underneath! I mix it with the ACV and some water... I tried pure ACV the first time... WOOO! Burned! My eyes watered like crazy! Don't do pure ACV~ do a combo ACV and water.

This product helps regulate the oils on my face helping to alleviate acne
