Good item, works well to protect skin from friction

True to size: Purchased the 30"x60", received a piece 31" x 61", so very happy with that. It is just a plain piece of fabric: unlined and unfinished, with no fraying. It has a sturdy backing, which keeps it flat without wrinkling. It is flexible enough to be rolled up, but not folded/creased. When it rolls, it rolls plush side out, so you don't have to worry about the scratchy backing coming up. Bought it for a bunny who was unable to walk while recovering from an illness (head tilt) that caused him to experience extreme vertigo. He would fall down and roll a lot which put him in danger of hurting himself and his eyes. This sheepskin was great: very soft and thick with no shedding. (There was a little fuzz around edges where I cut it to fit, but it was easily plucked off before using.) Bunny could not use the litter box while sick and the moisture wicking properties of this sheepskin are amazing! If you are expecting a fair amount of moisture, you will need to put something absorbent underneath, because liquid passes right through. The surface stayed dry no matter what. I laundered it in the washer and dryer. There was a little shrinkage from the dryer, when I left it in too long one time (it dries fast), but it remained just as plush, soft, and clean as ever, wash after wash, and did not stain. Between the washer and dryer, bits of hay that got stuck in it came right out. It looked brand new every time. I cannot recommend this enough. We really put it through the paces and it performed incredibly well. Bunny is doing fantastic, now, by the way, and doesn't need the sheepskin at all anymore. :)

My mother is disabled and prone to pressure sores from sitting. This is the second time I’ve purchased this faux sheepskin which helps eliminate discomfort. The size and thickness are perfect for her chair and they survive regular cycles through the washing machine.

I have had to stay in a nursing home recently and keep my foot elevated. They want me to take blood thinners and I got a bad bruise over my coccyx. They have hard mattresses and no pads, so I bought one of these pads out of self defense. First thing I noticed was that it was shedding all around the edges. This is a woven product with fleece and they have not whipped an edge on it (like they do with knit clothing, for example) so the edge disassembles from friction. Had they finished the edge with a serger, I would have given the item 5 stars, but since it is just a cut piece of fleece, that cost it a star. I have owned a real sheepskin and this is not one. But it has provided excellent padding, and the bruise on my coccyx is healing nicely. I am happy that it is washable and happy that it is soft. I wish it was as soft as a real sheepskin and as unwashable. But it was inexpensive and the treatment for a bedsore would have been way more expensive than this fleece.

This synthetic lamb skin pad offers good pressure relief and helps to decrease bruises on bony areas. The large 24” x 30” size is very helpful to use on the bed, offering pressure relief even with movements during sleep. You can also fold the pad to make it thicker. There is no odor compared to real sheep skin pads and the synthetic lamb skin is much more affordable than real sheep skin. It would help if the edges were sewn to minimize any fraying along the sides. Overall it is a definite buy!

Very soft and comfy. Washes great! So comfortable on my hard mattress. No more bed sites for me. Highly recommend it. Price and quality were fantastic. I wake up in the morning without a pressure ring on my hip. Wish I had this a long time ago!!

This has been great as I have been spending a lot of time sitting or lying on my side from having multiple surgeries so it’s an added layer of softness. It does get warm but I’m cold natured so it works out great for me

Out of the package it is very fuzzy. It sheds. There is no backing on it-very raw on the back like this is material you would buy at a fabric store. See pictures. I washed and dried (on low), took a clothes shaver to it, and lint rolled it. I am hoping it will bring relief to my loved one with cancer. Hospital beds are hard. This would be a 5 star if it had a backing on it.

My husband was bedridden after major surgery and this lamb skin-like underpad was an excellent protective barrier to protect his backside from bedsores. They had a similar one in the Senior’s home my mom was in and it really was a God send for anyone lying in bed day after day.
