It is wired CORRECTLY!!!
They get the Gold Star on their helmet! Wired correctly so when you mate devices to the Y (2) ends you will get red with red and black with black.So you know, the correct wiring is:Device (2-connectors) = Black Male + Red Femaleand Power (1-connector) = Red Male + Black FemaleThis cable is wired correctly. It was not the least expensive and it was missing the dust covers I prefer on the device connectors; but the most important thing still remains: It's wired correctly!!!

The splitter makes a nice clean set-up
The splitter works well in my kayak. I can run a fish finder an light off the trolling motor battery. The "poles" don't match up (red/black) so ignore that.

Was used for splitting a 12 volt power source on a motorcycle for new electrical accessories. Connector is well conceived for this use and simplifies new connections in a ready and reliable manner. It is compatible as well with battery chargers for motorbike batteries and readily usable for this purpose among many others.

I had no need for this currently, but from time to time I have thought about making one for whatever reason. It's going in my wire box for when I need it.
