PREFACE: I am not a fan of digital Blood Pressure machines. And I prefer to have one that does not require batteries to operate, as batteries can run out of juice or fail, and could do so at a critical time when you need them to perform. A manual BP cuff is always best to add to your home or travel First Aid/Medical Kit.As a Former Paramedic/Firefighter/Rescue Diver I have spent more hours taking a BP reading than I care to re-count, and a good quality Sphygmomanometer is crucial to achieving an accurate reading. Dixie Medical has always had good products, and this item is no exception. After receiving it, I took it to the local Critical Care Clinic, where a former fellow EMT-S, now E.R. Trauma Tech works to check its calibration against their cuffs and machines. It is spot-on accurate. Also, I can use my other cuffs – X-Large, Thigh, Juvenile and Pediatric with this and they interchange with no problem.If you are looking to get into EMS or just want a BP cuff to have at home, I highly recommend this product. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️P.S. If you are not properly trained on how to use a manual BP cuff, please get proper training. 👍🏼

This is a plain old fashioned sphygmomanometer or blood pressure cuff. And it's better and more accurate than the electronic ones. You do need a stethoscope and know how to take a manual blood pressure, but if you're a healthcare professional or you know how, I recommend this cuff. It fits a regular sized adult arm, and the dial is easy to see. I bought my parents the kind you put on a wrist but the readings were always off no matter who I tested it on. Also some ppl complained it got too tight around their wrists. My husband and I are both nurses and prefer this easy to store and use cuff better than the electronic ones. It doesn't need batteries, is accurate and not expensive.

As stated in the review title, the cuff pinches a lot more than other cuffs I've used, but it is worth a little discomfort from time to time to save a lot of money, right... right? Heh, well, I thought it was worth it, but after using it a few times, I'm sad to report it might be too cheaply made for my taste. Keep in mind that I have a large, muscular arm, so your mileage may vary. This was very easy to assemble and use. It was very affordable, but it didn't come with a stethoscope, so if you don't already have one of those, calculate that into the cost. I already had one laying around. Overall, good purchase.

Worked well as expected! Bought this so I can take my dad’s blood pressure everyday. The ones I had from nursing school is not as reliable as this one.

I’m 71 with hypertension, a retired hemodialysis nurse nephrology certified so I understand what hypertension can do to my kidneys. I’ve been using a digital monitor but decided to buy one with aneroid gauge for more accurate readings when I found a significant difference between my digital monitor reading & the clinic’s reading. Yes, I took my digital monitor to my appointment to check it’s accuracy. I take my own BP with the aneroid monitor but I can’t read upside down so I take the gauge off it’s holder & place it next to the cuff—see photo.. Using the stethoscope is not a problem either. I bought this Dixie brand due to 5 stars reviews from other health care professionals. Anyone who wants to buy an aneroid monitor but has no experience using it may still do so just make sure you learn how to take BP with this monitor. Digital monitors can be affected by how old it is & the condition of batteries thus affecting the accuracy of readings. A digital monitor is easier to use but make sure it’s in good working condition & the batteries are regularly changed. Take your digital monitor to your appointment to verify it’s accuracy.

Just as good as any other and the price was great. I bought this to use for my EMT class and clinicals. I was not disappointed. Definitely recommend to anyone
