I'm not sure how breathable it really is but breathability in general is vastly overrated for rainwear. It does NOT have pockets but this is a shell. I have used many alleged waterproof clothing for motorcycles and every one of them claim 100% waterproof, but they are 100% not waterproof they are showerproof only as in a very quick shower (proof) however Frog Togs these are very waterproof, these are by far my best suit I have purchased, I ran my arm under the water/sink tap full flow for 30 seconds, nothing got through despite being very thin material nothing got through I absolutely love using these on my motorcycle as they are very wind proof as well, I do not get cold even in the -1° temperatures.
