Looks to be designed for light industrial use. Outdoor use probably acceptable but would wear out the tool quickly.Used indoors on concrete floor to measure distances in a large industrial building.Measured two different areas back-and-forth. The numerical values were all within a few inches of each other. I cannot attest to the actual accuracy, but it seems to be giving repeatable measurements.Quaint little tool, folds nice and is well built…again, for light use IMO.Great for a construction crew, Industrial Engineer, or for any use that requires medium to longer distances.Definitely a good choice!

We have a family/community cemetery in which I have to measure out locations for new graves, or locations for old graves to mark. I did not have one of these and had been using a measuring tape. I found this, and after searching and reviewing, I decided to make the purchase. The price was competitive, it came with a backpack holder, and a small measuring tape. This is perfect for me because the pack makes it easy to store and to carry when needed. It is easy to read and use. The wheel runs well over bumpy terrain. The only thing I find annoying is the needle that points down from the wheel. It is needed and I definitely wanted it, but I find it's annoying because it is so loose that it continues to swing back and forth for a few seconds before settling to point. I kind of wish it had been static - it should point to the ground, center, when the wheel stops without me waiting for it to stop swinging. But - that's just me. Also, as some other mentioned, the kickstand is kind of useless. You can see it propped next to the door. It leans, holds it up if properly balanced on a flat surface, and is sort of useless on terrain; I don't expect to use it. For all the rest, it seems sturdy enough for my needs, it is accurate, it is light and easy to use, and the wheel runs perfectly. This has been a wonderful addition to my Job pack.

Very happy with this tool. First it arrived in matter of hours after ordering. Measures accurately. Convenient portable storage. Lightweight. No assembly. Easy reset. Kickstand a plus. Purchased for property land management. Like that it measures over many landscapes. Price is great. For what I need seems durable.

This is a super lightweight measuring tool that is great for a homeowner doing layout for fencing and measuring other small land projects like small building pads etc. I would not recommend this for operating or civil engineers as it will not withstand the abuse of construction work or being beaten around in the back of our work trucks. It's accurate enough for homeowner type projects but I would not use it for the higher demands of civil projects. But that's not what this is designed for. It measures in inches not tenths which makes the math more difficult for engineers that are used to dealing in tenths. Otherwise I have used it on my ranch to measure fencing and for layout of my garden pad. Worked fine. If used for it's intended purpose it's a great value, if you want it for grade setting and civil engineering project layout... not so much... and you should know better.

Good quality, stores away nicely. I used it to measure walking trails, some 2 miles long. Easy and fun to use.

Excellent unit at an affordable price. Folds up quickly and easily. No digital reader to go bad. Resets quickly. Should have bought one years ago
